In 2009 after being told that I was a hopeless addict, so just send her back to prison. My judge told the DA and my probation office that he wanted to send me far away from everything I knew and see if my hope could be restored and that's what I found when I stumbled up the steps of The Lovelady Center, handcuffed and shakeled. Miss Brenda welcomed me with open arms and through her teaching, love and support, I reached for Jesus. I was sentenced to 5 yrs fed time, but I was looking at 23 yrs . Thank you Miss Melinda and Mrs Brenda for the tools to make it through my sentence with courage, that I would be ok and break the cycle of my past choices. I never looked back and now 15 yrs later, I am still clean. I will never stop loving Miss Brenda as her legacy lives on through all of us loveladies💜

I can thank God for the Lovelady Center. The day I walked in the house the Holy Spirit came on me and I knew instantly I was home. Thank you Ms. Brenda for all the love and hope I received while I was there for the 16 months I was there. I'll never forget you and I'm so ever grateful for what you and Ms. Melinda has done and still doing in every one's life's.

I love you so much, Miss Brenda. You are alive in every kiss I give my mother, and every day, I am a great (parent) aunt to my neice. You are in every breath I make with a strong sober mind. Everything I praise Jesus! This life I have now is amazing, and it's all because of you! I say all of this with a heavy heart, but I know for a fact I carry a piece of you just like my sisters do. That piece you so freely gave so I could live! Thank you, Jesus, 5:45 for giving us her!

Thank you Lord for sending such a beautiful light to this dark world! I know that everyday I wake up and stay sober and deal with life on life’s terms her legacy lives on!! She will live on in the lives of everyone of us that she has touched. Thank you, Brenda, for allowing each one of us to build our own relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.
