Some of my best memories were made on the Naples Pier. Breaks my heart. Your video here is a beautiful piece of history. Growing up in paradise really spoiled me. I hope to return some day. When we came to Naples it was a quant , laid back, beautiful town, 30 years ago. We fell in love with it. Now Naples has grown so much , it’s still beautiful, but just like any other large town, to much traffic and during season with all extra snowbirds, you had better stayed home. Hi. I went to Marco Islsnd the week after Thanksgiving back in early 2000s. Just my aunt and I. We had soooo much fun. Beachfront condo, watching dolphins, shelling, shopping for family. And oh so much fun watching the Christmas shows on the Food Network. And the condo had art activities that were a lot of fun. My aunt is now gone, but that trip meant so much to me. I just wish we had more time. Edited to add: we came from the northeast, too. 😉

North Ft Myers is as far south as I could afford. My old boss retired on Marco Island, my doctor in Bonita Springs. And the same sun shines on each of us. Lee County has tremulous amount of recreational infrastructure. Beaches, parks, boat launches.

My Grandfather and his wife retired there along time ago and are dead now but I went out there since I was little and my father retired there and had an Aunt living there also until they both passed away and have been going there to visit them until my 40's, a lovely area! Plus my Aunt used her boat to show me Marco Island, cool. I usually went in the winter first from Chicagoland and then from Boulder, Colorado.

I grew up in Naples. Lived right across from cambier Park when I was a kid. Thats my hood. But the neighborhood i grew up in doesn't exist anymore. When I was a kid a single mother could live a block from the beach on a servers pay. Sad what happened to my beach town home. When I was a kid I would ride down fith Avenue at sunset and it was dark! 5th closed at 5pm. All us kids hung on 13th ave south beach sitting on sailboats and surfing. In our 20s we all worked at the bars and restaurants and every night was a party. God I miss Naples.

I went there over this last Christmas break. Ate at a restaurant on the water on Marco Island, Snooks Inn (or something like that). Stayed in Naples and went to tin city. I will say, Naples and Marco Island are the nicest places I've been to. (Not saying much since I haven't traveled a lot in my life yet). But even based on everywhere else I've seen, this area is really nice!

You forgot to tell them about 1/2 off meals on 5th everyday before 8pm and all the beach residents dont mind at all if you park on their lawns if your going to the beach. Houses on the beach are cool with you to take a shower on the pool deck since their up north 345 days a year. Really friendly place. Love to visit it
