Really good job covering the Space Coast. I live here, and you didn't miss much. FWIW: Area 13 is the clothing optional area at Playalinda. Just remember, what has been seen cannot be unseen. Area 1 on Playalinda is the premier place to watch a SpaceX or ULA launch. It's only open during daylight hours, though, and if it is a crewed (human) launch, it won't be open. Call ahead. In summer months, there are tour operators guiding folks through bioluminescent areas in the aptly named Mosquito Lagoon on the Banana River. It's breathtaking, but if you go, put on a lot of bug spray, and then put on a lot more. Again, excellent video!

Things to note: Beaches are common and frequently free but some days, you might be pressed to find one with open parking. Drive along the coast far enough, and eventually, you will though. Paradise Beach has good facilities but the beach has more rocks than most others in the area. Food: Edelwies has the best German food in the county but has unusual hours Tely's has good Chinese food but call ahead because they can be busy. Naoki is good for sushi Makotos is probably the best hibachi grill in the area (but go for lunch as the prices are a lot cheaper but the portions aren't much smaller) Rock the Guac and I Dream of Yogurt are next to each other if you are looking for casual tex-mex and frozen yogurt (respectively) Certainly, many of your big chains are easy to find but these are some recommendations from someone who grew up in the area.

Which area do you think it’s best for a family of 4 , we would prefer a small town feel but close enough to some sort of night light , restaurants, brewery’s , kids are in sports . Appreciate any feedback , Thanks for your time
@dznutz2172 жыл бұрын
@@boardkal Brevard county as a whole has a small town feel and easy going vibe. Overall the area moves at a slower pace than South Florida (West Palm to Miami), Greater Orlando and Tampa and the bay area which is a good thing and part of what makes Brevard special. Within that understanding, there are faster and even slower pace areas within Brevard county. Anyway the first place to look at is definitely Viera. It's the most modern area and will give you everything you listed. Nice homes, shopping, food and entertainment. As for night life, Florida in general is more of a bar scene over club scene vibe and casual dress is the norm. Getting dressed and going out is more about church and nice dining. The next area to look at is the Melbourne, Indialantic Beach and Melbourne Beach area. Downtown Melbourne has a real nice food and shopping vibe that has frequent events monthly. These areas are older and more established but have activity similar to Viera. I highly recommend a quick 3-4 day vacation to check these areas out. It won't take more than 2 days to get a good feel for what fits you and your family. Good luck!

2022 all incorporated cities and towns along the beach charge for parking, whether it's a beach park or just the end of a road that ends at the ocean, EXCEPT those within Melbourne city limits, which are Canova Beach and Paradise Beach. Even Rykman Park at the Melbourne Bch pier is pay-to-park now. North and South Spessard Holland parks, Ponce DeLeon Park, are county parks and still Free. Most, if not all, payment must be made with a card at a designated pay station- no more quarters, with a minimum of $2.50. You did a very nice presentation here. This is my home for over 50 years. :)

This is an excellent video! I lived in Satellite Beach with my family from 1969 to 1971 being my late father was in the Air Force. He was actually stationed out at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Cape Canaveral, Florida while we lived in the old Patrick Air Force Base south housing units. This was because only badged and uniformed personnel were allowed at the Cape. So he had to commute out there from Satellite Beach. Anyway, we saw quite a few rocket launches while we were there. It was during the historic Apollo space program. I come here from Southern California during June(this month) for my annual summer vacation and stay in Melbourne. It's only a few minutes from Satellite Beach, our old home. The only thing that sucks now is all of the free beach parking in Satellite Beach is gone from what I understand. From where we lived, we could literally walk to Hightower Beach Park from our house. It wasn't called that when we lived there back then from '69 to '71. All was all literally sand and water without all of the facilities it has now. Nevertheless, what a great place to live!
