I'm not super familiar with Lecrae's work, but from my understanding, he was expressly known for unashamedly rapping about Jesus with raps full of doctrinal bars and all that, etc. He branded himself as an expressly Christian rapper then when he branched out, I think his fans felt like maybe he was ashamed or like he was abandoning a lot of what he was about in order to gain acceptance. Whereas NF has always been more of a crossover artist who made music that sometimes mentioned God and sometimes didn't. The difference is Lecrae served a whole meal with God in every dish, NF just sprinkled God into his personal songs like a garnish. IDK, but recently what I've seen of Lecrae seems really bitter... How many lives did he save with "Mansion" alone because he spoke about things people were dealing with at a heavy capacity? How many lives did "Therapy" effect? when he full on discussed cutting and depression and drugs? How many people are now fighting harder for their dreams once they saw NF, someone like them with the same struggles make his dream possible? (Outcast.) I can go on. but seriously? if saving lives doesn't matter, if making a hug impact, if being unique and dedicated to the craft so much that he is already rivaling the top rappers with just a few years of being in the main game doesn't matter when what does? Furthermore, even if you think that doesn't matter, there is one aspect to NF that is entirely different than a ton of rappers out there and I think it is best described by the line: "I may not be the best in my field but I guarantee Imma die Real." Even if he doesn't make it, he is gonna fight tilll he dies, and he is gonna do it truthfully and with things that are not him just blowing smoke, he talks about real life. Furthermore, he does all this without a single cussword or graphic pictures of unpleasant things.

what dj akademiks said didn't sit right with me because NF most definitely impacts people through his music. It's very confusing how he is so overlooked but other rappers talk abt just vulgar things while NF's songs actually MEAN something. I know he has impacted tons of people but some people are just blind and can't see his talent.

I wanted a Nate and Hopsin collab for years, but now I hella want him with Joyner. Pretty cool that Roman Atwood likes him too, grew up on his pranks and vlogs. Been here since Therapy Session, glad to see NF shining so much as of late.

I don't think Eminem was really dissing NF by saying he's a "recovery clone of him" 'cause you really can't be Eminem's clone if you ain't at least as good or very close to his technique, expressions and especially lyricism . Sounds more like a compliment to me. ☺️

The Ringer line is not a diss. Idk why people have convinced themselves that it was a shot at him. It was just a clever way of mentioning the fact that everyone says he’s the clean lyrics version of him.

DJ Akademiks knows nothing. People know who NF is. He’s mentioned consistently as a top artist today. I’ve personally been to his show lately from when there was only like a hundred to shows now where he’s selling out 8,000+ venues. The impact is evident.

Ems line makes since if that’s what he meant. So many rapper with a “message” deliver it like they studied recovery before hand. Idk if it’s just heavy inspiration or just unoriginal.
