So ... there's many fans out there who were genuinely saddened by David Crosby's death. They're thinking about the great things that he did(or they're trying to search for that) and cried when he died. ... There's those people, the ones who hated him before he died, and the ones who were indifferent... They didn't know much or anything about him or his music, and they aren't a fan... Before his passing, someone tweeted fanart to him(which, in my honest opinion, was really good. Digital art does so much that other styles can't do)...and he berated the guy on Twitter. Making fun of the art and defending constantly why he didn't like it. Even if he wasn't into it....Twitter is already toxic enough and he didn't have to contribute to it. He could've said something nice as a comment and put his true thoughts in the DMs. That, or he should've said nothing, and kept scrolling... Could've, should've, would've...but he chose not to. The damage is already done. That artist/fan liked Crosby as a musician, but it'll forever be tainted by the insults that he sent as a reply to the fanart. It'll be on the internet for years to come, and it will be part of David Crosby's legacy. We're all gonna die someday, and nobody lives forever, so this is part of who it's important to be kind to others when you're alive, on this earth. The last impression that you make on people and how you made an impact.... THAT'S part of your legacy, not what you think of others...what they think about YOU. Your legacy will outlive you, and as for David Crosby... people will think of him as one of the greatest musicians of all time, or a washed-up asshole who insults others on Twitter. David Crosby had the most irreverent sense of humor of anyone I have ever seen and heard. Incredibly talented, he made it look so easy. at times that I sometimes wondered if the man was human. Yes, he could rub people the wrong way but he was always true to himself and he made me laugh. I oftime would nod my head at his remarks knowing that "he gets it". He will be so sorely missed. He could be direct, abrasive and most times on point and he was not one to bullshit as he was honest, painfully so at times. RIP David Crosby. Thank you for bring joy to so many people with your wonderful music.

David was a talented Composer, good singer, and competent guitarist ..... his list of indulgences, illegal and mere excesses rival the most here and gone rock heroes dead and gone long before 30 ! More over he was a pain in the ass, stubborn and mouth on him broke many alliances and hurt people close to him .... when it came to his drugs and temper .... he even betrayed Graham Nash .... Friend, band mate and confident - and IT WAS A WOUND NEVER TO HEAL. In fact David blew the scheduled Skype call with Graham and what little patching the relationship done to that point became stalled and HE DIED having never restored their friendship .... that is hard for Graham & Steven.
