Incredible tour! One of the best of any of the youtube channels; enough so that I just subscribed! I wish you would do a second release of this though with just walking and music (non-narrated). I've sailed Edge in The Retreat and just booked Beyond in the Retreat and found this exceptionally helpful in understanding the changes from the first of the series. My partner and I are surprising my parents for their 45'th wedding anniversary with a suite on Beyond for Southern Caribbean and a simple walking tour music video (great selections btw) would be fantastic to help them see what they'll experience. it'll be their very first cruise and in the best cruise line in a suite. Thanks for the tour . I'm going to make a critical analysis. Please note. 2:46 is the famous La Normandie statue that actually came out of the great oceanliner Normandie. It was first in the Summit's dining room and was removed from it and moved to the Beyond. I love the decor in the Normandie because it is retro-modern. I also love the staircase. It does seem a lot of open unused space though is between the two restaurants. I would like this area to be a dance floor where musicians can play and people could dance to soft music. Per the restaurants, subtle upgrades from the two previous sister ships. The Guest services area looks overly large to me. The Martini bar area, what is behind the walls? Because above it extends to areas with windows with views. This is a sunken area effect here with no windows. Above decks, there are spaces with windows. So are there gallies there or staterooms? Same issue on Cosmopolitan and Cyprus. Big unused area to the entrance. Let's go back to the Celebrity Galaxy and Mercury. There was a cool, club like secondary foyer that was in front of the restaurants where guests could have champagne and drinks and mix and mingle after dinner. Felt like an intimate club (something lacking on this ship, intimate public areas). Why not do that here rather than have a big empty space? Cyprus and Cosmopolitan have great decor and ambiance. Very nice. Examples of this big empty space: 3:54 4:59 The casino is boring in terms of decor. Celebrity has done way better on previous classes. The open area deck 3/4/5 is the Grand Plaza, not an atrium. Notice Grand Bistro is open so it'll be subject to whatever noise and activity is below in the Martini Bar area. Le Voyage, the haute cuisine expensive restaurant is sealed off from that with a closed door so you're likely to hear little of the noise. About the decor, there's a grayish/beige background to many of the public areas, and many in peach and rose colors, even Le Voyage. I'd like to see more contrasts. The Club has been improved in that it is lighter inside in the daytime and due to the many activities in the room, it kind of needed it IMO, this is a nightclub but not an "elegant" space. So, here, so far, is the second option for a kind of nightlife, club, music/dance area. The theater is new and state of the art for the time being until newer classes of ships surpass it. Still, it'll remain modern for a few years to come. So, conference space. IMO, why can't a space like this be a card room or library? This ship has neither. The World class bar is too small and there is a wall in front of the seats so there's no view of the bar. IMO, the World class bar should be relocated and attached to a proper elegant lounge which is noticeably missing on this class of ship. It's small on Solstice class too but nothing obstructs views of the bar. 18:40 The chocolate stand is a waste of space. You could put that somewhere else and put something else there. This class of ship is not intimate. Intimacy has to do with not size of vessel but spaces within. The Oasis of the Seas has intimate spaces within it, for instance. The Solstice class ships beat it in intimacy, romance, social mingle areas inside the ship. Of course, they don't have the tech and the next class of ships will have more tech than the Edge. The next class of ships will have more new features and more contemporary decor as well. To me, it's not about new. It's about feel and ambiance and balancing the types of spaces for different types of cruisers. You want entertainment and dining venues and spas? Fine. You want to find more intimate spots and places to dance in elegant surroundings, you're out of luck. Library and card room and observation lounge, out of luck. That continues to be my problem with the Edge class. They could have been much better and being pretty and new isn't good enough for all cruisers,. HAL and Princess offer more in their newest ships for different types of cruisers. And I think their food and service match Celebrity's.

One main pool and two smaller pools on the back of the ship. Normandie serves French cuisine, Cosmopolitan is more classic/American, Cyprus has Mediterranean, and Tuscan is Italian. These are all included - there’s also a cafe, buffet, poolside grill, spa cafe, and more that are all included.

They all have a few selections that are exclusive to that main dining room. Usually four appetizers and 4-5 mains will be exclusive but the rest of the menu is the same as the other dining rooms.

So because we had so few people (only 850) on this sailing they just did one showtime a night. However, I think the standard times are something like 6:30 and 8:30, give or take 30 minutes.

Hey Zach Great Tour!! Ship is absolutely beautiful. Just wondering your take on the nightlife on the Beyond. Traveling with 18 and 20 year olds that love to dance is "The Club" actually like a club?? What was the general age on board is it an older crowd on Celebrity Cruises??

Hi Jay, thanks so much! Celebrity is an older crowd on average than Royal/Carnival, but still many younger folks onboard as well. The Club is very much like the typical cruise ship club atmosphere at night. They have plenty of music and dancing. Always saw lots of folks, young and old alike, hanging out in there at night. They would also have shows in there after the main show in the main theater some nights.

Our infinity balcony was not a balcony but a window that broke many times. It was not worth the extra money because it was not an outdoor balcony, The room would be stifling if you opened the top window. Why is it called a balcony -It is not a balcony.

Thanks for watching. Hope you have a great cruise. First, I never buy the photos. I would recommend you just to buy them one at a time on the ship instead of buying them all ahead of time. That will likely save you money because I’m sure you won’t want to purchase every single photo they take onboard. I do an excursion at every port. This can be tiring so only do as much as you feel you’ll be up for. Not sure what gambling stuff means. Maybe Deal or No Deal cards? Dining and shows are all included - with the exception of specialty dining. Look online on your cruise planner and select the restaurants you’d like to dine at ahead of time. I recommend you NOT to miss Eden and Rooftop Garden Grill.

Thanks for watching! You’re not assigned, you can go to any of them that you choose, if you have Select dining which means you can go anytime dining is open to any of the dining rooms. Because Celebrity decided to give the forward higher deck space all to suite passengers. They get a fancy restaurants with forward views and a bunch of villas. This is a class ship in a sense. They also now get forward deck space. You can get forward views in the gym. If Celebrity was smart they would have relocated the gym and put a forward facing lounge in that area. Also, there is no library or card room or basketball court on this ship like the older ships.

Thank you for watching and have a great cruise! My favorite is deck 4. Deck 5 has a 2-3 feet guard up and it’s distracting to watch through, depending on where you’re sitting. Plus they mark off seats for Retreat guests on deck 5 so fewer seats up there anyway.

@@ZachtheTravelingMan oh my gosh the entertainment has been phenomenal so far. The production shows are just crazy good. I found out what the empty outdoor deck spaces are on deck 5. That is the mustering areas should we ever have a need of lifeboats. There is one on each side for loading the boats. Those areas have to stay clear of chairs as there is no time in case of an emergency to clear the area.

Is there a free sauna in the men's locker room? Or only in the thermal suite/spa for a fee?

The sauna and steam rooms are located in the common spa area, available to all genders. You do have to have access to the Spa thermal suites to access.

Ive noticed from watching all the new ships videos that every ship is so bland and futuristic. They look like hotels. Not my style. Thanks for the video.

Not HAL. Those look like ships. This one is a bit more hotel like than Celebrity's other classes.

We have been on this from 10-17th june 2023 in a Sky suite. We were not very happy on this ship. The Retreat section is very dissapointing and the quality of the suite as well. Breakfast times were very limited. Ship is modern, but not very up to date. Entertainment on board is very good. Big casino. Quality of the food average. We would not travel again with this ship or Celebrity. It is a very average level of ships.

Food is variable. When it is good, it is very, very good. Try a Solstice ship. It's, IMO, the real Celebrity experience. This ship is trying to appeal to a "younger" audience and they've deleted some of some really good aspects of the Celebrity product. But yes, presentation, food, service, and overall quality has gone down on Celebrity so they give these new ships to draw people in with lots of for-pay restaurants and entertainment and tech.
