Glad you are home and feeling better….going on the Beyond in 45 days, looking forward to it. As far as quarantining: i bring my own tests also. If i could stay in my cabin i would report it, or self quarantine. I am a nurse and i am concerned about others🚢😊

Thank you sir for your videos, I love your tours and peek inside crusing! Well done! Something I've noticed in a bunch of cruise ship videos...the dining venues always seem to have some noise and don't seem very quiet or relaxed. Do you find that different dining venues have different moods and perhaps some are more quiet and relaxing?

Hi and thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. Yes, absolutely. There are lots of restaurants onboard ships these days, some big, some small. It’s true that some are noisier than others, but you can always ask for a quieter table. If it’s a more refined atmosphere you are looking for, I would choose a smaller ship in general. Hi Hazel. No it was just me. No idea how Graham didn’t pick it up… it’s not the first time that’s happened either. It obviously doesn’t like him! It was such a shame, obviously ruined the holiday, but we booked to go back on Beyond next year and we have Norwegian Viva just around the corner. I think you will both love AquaClass. The service in Blu is excellent and the food is pretty good too. No complaints from us on that front. Yes, I’m well on the mend thanks… oh and yes!! Thank goodness we upgraded. 5 days in an inside cabin would be awful. Sending you both best wishes and thanks for always watching. David (& Graham!) x

Hope your feeling better. We both tested positive last December on Britannia I was in the cabin until day 7 my hubby until day 11 . We could have food from the main dining room or off the room service menu for free . But only continental breakfast. I think there where a lot of people on board with it so food was hit and miss as to being hot to look warm. Didn’t look half as good as yours did. They left us for 5days then tested us every day after until we were negative. People did ring us everyday to make sure we where ok. Plus on the day of my birthday they rang and sang happy birthday down the phone. I got a lovely bouquet of flowers with a birthday card and at dinner they sent a bottle of champagne and a huge chocolate birthday cake so that was nice. It’s completely put my hubby off cruising again normally we do 1or 2 every year I wasn’t to bad but my hubby was quite ill for the first 4days we did take are own tests and rang them right away . We’d taken out cruise and covid cover like P&O tell you to, had to really fight with the insurance company to get some money back . At first they said no , so we told them we’d take it further if are case wasn’t reviewed and go to the ombudsman and Rip off Britain holidays . In the end after 4 months we got half back . Great review by the way .

Hi Wendy and thanks for commenting. I know it’s not a nice subject, but I do find it interesting how people are treated so differently in these situations. I do understand where your husband is coming from, it’s a horrible experience. I won’t let my own experience put me off. Since the restart after Covid, I’ve been lucky enough to take 17 cruises. I got Covid on 1 of them. I could have easily got Covid on a regular ‘land based’ holiday, or even from going to the supermarket. I think it helps to keep things in perspective. Going on a cruise doesn’t mean you will catch Covid again. That was very nice of the crew to sing Happy Birthday down the phone! And of course the cake, flowers and champagne. Hi Jennifer, they are not testing everyone as a matter of course, however if you are ill and contact the medical team, they will test you if you agree to be tested.

How do you compare the food on Celebrity Beyond to the MSC Yacht Club on the Seashore? We are doing both ships in the next few months and I believe you have done both as well? Thanks!

Hi Ashley, that’s a great question and not so easy to answer. I think food is better overall on Celebrity…. However the Yacht Club is so much more than food. I would certainly choose YC over Celebrity’s AquaClass. I’m sure you will enjoy both. They are both gorgeous ships. Thanks for watching. David

Have been enjoying your food cruise reviews… I love your honesty… Sure hope you are feeling better now… Sorry you came down with Covid… At the end of August 2023 we went on celebrity equinox to celebrate our 50th anniversary and treated ourselves to aqua class… One thing I learned is that you can also order any thing you wanted from the main dining room menu, which we always asked for… We love celebrity's escargot, which was not in the blu restaurant so we had that every single night which came from the main dining room restaurant😋

I’ve not been on Equinox, but have been on Solstice, Eclipse and Silhouette. I think the Blu restaurant is better looking on those ships. Yes, if I ever do Aqua Class again, I would certainly order from the main dining menus if I needed too. I’m all for healthy eating, but not sure I want it every day!!! @@CruiseShowUK thank you… Yes, 50 years of marriage is a blessing for sure… We enjoyed BLU… The quiet, the special attention, etc. but we were very very glad we could also choose meals from the MDR menu… I did love the healthy options, but like you, having a choice of both blu and MDR menus was the way to go for us!!! Have a nice day!! we are taking two MSC Cruises in 2024 in the yacht club...I was so happy to watch your seashore yacht club video which is the ship we will be on… And we will also be on the beyond in April 2024 And Holland America in 2025 so I have enjoyed all of your food reviews on these ships… Thank you!!

I loved my time on MSC Seashore, it’s a great ship with a wonderful crew. Yes I do have a Yacht Club Inside cabin tour… it’s from the MSC Seascape, which is the sister ship. Yes, my insurance policy will pay me £150 per day isolation. So should be £750 in total. I never travel without insurance, especially when taking a cruise. Thanks for watching. David

I'm just at the beginning of your video and wanted to say... those spring rolls you were eating looked like the ones we get here in Vietnamese restaurants. The wrap part is made with rice paper and they are usually "stuffed" with slices of carrot and other vegetables plus sometimes shrimp. I don't care for the fish sauce that usually accompanies them, so I always ask for peanut sauce (sometimes to the chagrin of the waiter). Later.... Yes, I would report myself if I tested positive for COVID. And I'd probably eat myself sick out of boredom. "Bring me all the chocolate!" I would ask for a bigger table to be brought to my room too. That little round one would drive me mad! I hope you recovered quickly with no complications.
