On April the 3rd we will be cruising on the Edge out of Ft. Lauderdale to the Caribbean. Our schedule stops may change between now and then but that doesn’t matter much. I just want a vacation cruise to anywhere or nowhere. The video tours I have seen of the ship look great. Can’t wait!!!!!

I really enjoy and appreciate what Celebrity has done to upgrade the level of food and service on their ships. We had done 2 cruises with them prior to 2019 and everything was fine, but, nothing really stood out. They have most definitely improved dramatically the quality of the food in 2021 and 2022 and also the choices available. We did two cruises in 2021 with Celebrity, one on the Millennium in Alaska in August and the Apex in Greece in September and the food was absolutely fantastic. We did Aquaclass in Greece and ate not only at Blu, but at each of the four new main dining rooms and also Fine Cut Steakhouse. Service was fabulous and the food was excellent in every case. We loved the International Cafe Buffet for breakfast and lunch and Scoops was a favorite in the afternoon for a quick rush of ice cream.

There can be some free drinks at, for instance the sail away but generally no, you would have to pay for alcoholic drinks. Non alcoholic they have tea / coffee and usually lemon/orange juice. Hope that helps Amanda! Happy Travels

We were on the Edge in July of 2021 so fairly recently once the restrictions were lifted and we could travel to the US (as were Canadian). Hope that helps! Happy Travels Mark 🦩

My wife and I will embarking on a 10 day Greek Islands cruise on board Celebrity Reflection this coming August 2023. Their drink package changed as of December 19 2022 . We were going to purchase their non alcoholic package including speciality waters coffees ,teas, juices, but the prices per person per day is absolutely crazy at $880.00 for the both of us for the full 10 day cruise. We wanted to know if it was really worth it considering we only want coffee and tea and water on board, and water to take along on our off boat guided tours. What drinks are offered for free on board? Are free regular coffees and teas served at breakfast? Do we get regular bottled water. Love your videos btw.

Thank you for watching and commenting. Your free drinks are generally (I say that because some ships may be different but so far we have not had that) coffee/tea/lemonaid/iced tea/orange juice/water. Now usually these are in the buffet area or in other open free-service restaurants. We take a few water bottles w/ us to fill up when we are they and stash them in our fridge in the room for later. If you're just looking for that you should totally be fine, keep in mind water at any restaurant is free also and many will refill a water bottle for you (but not always all). If you do fill your water bottle procedure is to fill a glass and pour it into a water bottle (i.e. not filling it directly) for sanitary reasons. I will also note that the "free" lemonade / orange juice is very much just flavoured water mostly lol, freshly squeezed is not included. Hope that helps SEMIretired! Happy Travels

We tend to slightly disagree with some of your food comments and it may have to do with which Celebrity ship you cruise on. Just returned from a week on the Celebrity Eclipse, Alaska, and I can't say there was anything we would consider "amazing" with the food. We dined in 2 of the speciality restaurants, as well as the main dining room and the buffet. Out of all those, there were some things that were very good and some that were just barely OK. In the dining room, we had a couple things that were very good and a couple things that were mediocre at best. We found that the food in the speciality restaurants tended to be better, but remember, you are paying an additional charge of $50 plus, per person so I would expect it to be better. Probably the best things they had to eat on the cruise was the day they offered fresh salmon and fresh halibut. That was actually delicious! We are desert people but in the buffet, the deserts were really very lame! As an example, you could have the orange cake, the green cake or the yellow cake! What??? They all tasted the same and the other deserts weren't much better. Almost as if the pastry chef was someone just out of culinary school and was just learning. Lots of filler food without much quality. Getting the variety of choices of ice cream would be your best bet. Recently read a review from someone that claims to be a chef of 30 years. He was on the same cruise ship as us but a week earlier. One comment I remember he made is that so many things were "crap" and that their chefs should not be proud of some of the things they put out. I could pretty much back that up and if you were to see how much food some of the people left on their plate, I guess they might agree also. Maybe this might be what you compare it to becasue we have been on 18 cruises, with all different lines, and the food on this one would probably rank in the bottom third at best. Otherwise, I have to say that all of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the rooms, etc. were pretty nice.

It was the 2nd cruise after cruising resumed. Celebrity (specifically) had a vaccine mandate and thus allowed for no-mask. Hope that clarifies! Happy Travels. 🦩
