I used to go to Subway a lot back then because it was the only place in walking distance of my job. I remember the news came out, and then all of a sudden the store was almost empty. All the menu boards were down, the advertisements in the windows were down, ads on the glass guards taken down, and of course the cardboard cut out of Jared was gone. The place looked closed aside from the food in the case and bread baking. I think it was a while before they had menu boards again too. Something about the major cities getting priority, so we were towards the middle of the list.

A BUNCH of Subways went out of business (or very nearly) out in my stretch of "Bumf*ck, Nowheresota"... It's understandable with so many little shops sitting some distance off the 50 mph zone around 15 or 20 miles from the nearest otherwise cluster of societal structure... or much of any structure, really. Around here, the common habit of drivers is to try to discern if a place is operating (and if there's traffic in the lot signifying that anyone actually WANTS to eat the food) as they get closer... AND by the time the neon "Open" sign is visible enough to greet the weary travelers at speed, they're trapped into the choice of some maniacal evasive style maneuvering or just giving up for the next likely spot to pick up quickly nutritious food, like a McD's or Taco Hell, which has NOT suffered the catastrophic publicity of a public paedophilic endorsement... ;o)

The problem with making people who use iphones use a samsung isn't because it's worse or cheaper. In fact, samsungs often have features that iphone will have in a year or so and are the same price. But the biggest problem with getting a celebrity to that uses an iphone to use a samsung is simply that people do not like changing what they regularly use. I have a Note10+ and have used an iPhone 7 & 8 for work. They're just different enough in casual use that both Samsung and Apple can't really point a finger claiming copyright/patent infringement. The biggest differences I noticed is that Android has icons and text to bring up context menus whereas Apple if you can't find something you just start holding down icons to see where they've hidden their context menus. The iPhone 7 & 8 seemingly had better battery life than my Note10+. From my understanding that comes from a mix of more streamlined proprietary firmware and background app management. I'm casual af on my mobile devices so take this all with a grain of salt. :P

Best comparison for iPhone vs Android I can think of is this. IPhone is user friendly, Android is tech friendly. If you want something easy to use and not too complicated to understand go with iPhone. If you want something more customizable and with the ability to download a wider range of tech especially gaming like emulators and mods, go with Android. It's personal preference. Nothing more.

Iphone is not user friendly. Ive tried to make the transition for security purposes on many occasions for work and just end up running two phones, one being a personal android. Not only does literally everything take an extra step beyond the process in android (LITERALLY everything) and it constantly second guesses my abbreviations and cursor placement even with autocorrect and text correction disabled. Even when i install gboard it forces itself into my experience and work flow every chance it can get. Hey Ios, i promise, PROMISE i meant tp type "yup" and i swear to god if you flash my cursor placement where i clicked before putting it somewhere i didnt because you think its what i meant ONE MORE TIME. (on two occasions i have broken an iphone over my knee and happily replaced it with a much more user friendly $100 android from walmart. You cant even bus power USB devices with an iphone and you can do that with $40 androids now a days. Hmmm? i cant disable notifications all at once for all my apps? i have to do it manually by app or silence the entire phone? Interesting, i could do that with an android in 2012 and when i add my own abbreviations to the user dictionary it sticks User friendlness hasnt been a thing iphone wins out on over android since the iphone 3g. Period end of discussion, and this is the generalized overarching opinion of literally anyone i know personally that has to use both as well (mostly people im working with. The only ones of us who like anything at all about the iphone are the employees who were already using one before they worked here as their personal phone.) The only reason were even on an iphone is workplace security. thats it There is literally no other reason in 2024 to be using iphone besides "just being used to the UI and not wanting to learn something new" A flagship iphone has less functionality then a $100 android in 2024. Fact. Inarguable fact actually lol. Its genuinely unfortunately some people actually think Ios is more user friendly and functional then android. Thats called technological illiteracy, not an objective observation.

On my first trip to Japan in 1989 I saw two TV commercials with American talent, haven't been able to find them on the internet but they are priceless. The first was Sylvester Stalone hawking canned ham. (Insert your own joke here). The second was Madonna warbling about Golden Shochu (a Japanese spirit) while wearing gold coloured armor with oversized gleaming, pointed breast cups while fighting a golden dragon. Your horniest anime fantasies come to life.

I cut/ pasted "Sylvester Stalone hawking canned ham" from your own comment & plugged it into Google. Found it immediately. Madonna took effort & I had to type Madonna japanese commercial. Simon, a friend of mine did tech support for the team that launched the Surface device, allegedly. So, with the initial launch of the surface, there were two versions of the device. the RT version, which utilized an ARM processor, which could only run apps from the app store, and the Surface Pro, which was a full Windows device, which was the much better version, and cost nearly twice as much at somewhere between $800 to $1,000, as I recall. I bet you bottom dollar that she gave the RT version as presents, not the full Windows version as presents. (I can guarantee it, because of the price tag.)

In the US, yes, you have to disclose even if you received the product for free. That's why you see KZbinrs giving the disclaimer, "I'm not sponsored, but they did send this to me." The reason KZbin has cracked down so hard, is because of the disclosure laws in the US (because YT is a US company) that were being violated by SOOO many KZbinrs. The FTC came down hard on YT and, iirc, they were threatened with nullifying their "safe-haven" status if they didn't do something to prevent the violation. So, as long as they're putting measures in place, they can't be held liable for a creator who screws up, putting the liability directly on said creator.

I've always said, the price of being rich and famous, is that you have to give up the ability to have a public opinion. People like your average guy like me, we can pretty much say whatever we want, and it will be forgotten about. For the most part. But if I'm rich and famous, always in the media, I cannot say what I want, because even those simple words can cost me my career. So the real question is, for all of those who want to be wealthy and rich, are you willing to give up your opinion, or at least he ability to just say what you want when you want

13:26 - I mean iPhone Android comparison is not fair cause one is truly a phone while the other places calls as its main feature but its not really a phone per say. Saying iPhone is better than Android is like person A saying his wife is better than person B. Both are good devices. Both have strong points. But in terms of the device vs other devices like it...Android is factually hands down without fail better hence the reason roughly 60% of the market is on Android. They both exist for a reason so use the one that works for you. The same way that Linux is factually hands down without fail better than Windows but still the majority of users use Windows. If you need a phone the end...you get an Apple. If you need a phone and a laptop you get an Android. If all you need it for is communicating then Apple. If you need this device to do more than communicating then you get an Android. On both sides they are just status symbols for people to feel cool. New iPhone or Galaxy users get the phone and then what? Less than 10% of users even need and utilize even 90% of the horsepower these devices have. They buy the phones and it has all the new features but heck...they did not upgrade cause they need HDR 4. They don't even know what HDR is or how to tell if its even working. 2532‑by‑1170-pixel resolution at 460 ppi. What is that? Can they tell the difference with the old one? No they can't. They don't give AF. They are getting the iPhone 14 or that S24 cause it makes them look cool. I am not even hating. I am just aware that both have things to offer. But...One device is without fail more capable than the other. One of those devices can do things that you would never ask a phone to do. But you you can if you wanted to. Cause its not a phone per say
