I can't begin to tell you what a life saver you are to me! I don't profess to be as good as you, but our cutting style reminds me a lot of my own, which is why I feel so at home watching your tutorials. I know when I was researching cosmetology schools, I finally settled with Pivot Point, because their haircutting system made the most sense to me. They had a bit of a scientific and somewhat exhaustive approach to haircutting - incorporating a bit of physics - making us constantly aware of the shape of the head underneath, and making it work for you and not against you. They wanted us to cut with an assured tenacity - knowing beforehand, the outcome of every cut we made. I never liked to "guess" at haircut, though I've seen some stylists who look like a deer in the headlights while cutting - and whats worse; they don't cross check! I have a friend who is requesting this haircut for herself that I'm doing tomorrow. I was ecstatic when I found that you had a video for Lisa Rinna. I pretty loyal to your tutorials. Keep making a wonderful product, because you help out so many people!

Thank you for this tutorial. I did beauty school just before the lock down in 2019, and ended up having to guide myself through the apprenticeship part, as the other stylists in the salon where very caught up in everthing after the lock dow. I never really learned this haircut, and have had many requests. I always do it and come out fine, but the tutorial taught me so much and also confirmed that i was getting it right 80%. Ps, the camera angle when cutting the corner was a bit awkward

Super cute! Nicely done. I wouldn't be as aggressive with the thinning shears, personally. Especially on colored, curly, or fragile hair. Even on the thickest hair I prefer to texturize with my straight blades as this leaves the hair in better condition. I've seen a lot of damaged hair due to hairstylists that think more is better when it comes to razors and thinning shears. They are amazing tools when used properly on the right kind of hair textures. Cheers!

Finally. Thank you. The best haircut I have ever seen bar 1. But how do I find the right stylist to do this haircut. So many times I have lost my hair to someone who gives me a short bob despite requesting that she/he does not do that. Then I have to wait months again before the length is right to try again. I have still not found a stylist to do this haircut. And...what is the color combination from which products. I have read sandy brown? What about the highlights?

hopefully your hairdresser will watch it. I've sent vidoes to different hairdressers and don't think they ever watch them because they cut my hair nothing like the videos. My best option is long and straight across the bottom. Frustrating to not be able to locate a decent hairdresser.

Combination Farrah Faucet and Joan Jett shag request on collarbone length hair. I used to wear this haircut continually from the early 70s until I left for the military in the 80s and then once I got out of the military I was never able to find anybody who can do this haircut again because I lost contact with my hairdresser which I finally found 45 years later and she gave me to my satisfaction and delight the same great haircut. In all those years between having her cut my hair in the 70s and finding her again I have never found a hairdresser who knew how to do that haircut and I went to some high-end salons and paid a lot of money and they couldn’t do it, so I’d like to see if you can make an attempt at this. Thank you so much because I’m sure there’s a lot of people who wore that style and can’t find a hairdresser to do it, I was lucky enough to find my original hairdresser after all these years.
@karenferrara2 жыл бұрын
I wore my hair like this for 12 years however it has to be done perfectly and getting more than three times in a row from the same hairdresser was next to impossible, I felt stress everytime I had to get my haircut, im not exaggerating when I say my workmates new the pattern as well , oops its your fourth /even at times third haircut,,yep then id spend the next two weeks trying to get it fixed..it grew out in the pandemic i know have a textured lob that does not need the kind of maintenance that hairstyle required less haircuts means less chances of stress . Im doing the opposite of most woman - long hair when young -shorter styles when older. Ive been short hair since 14 now im a long haired 62 year old.. however that video made really had me thinking I want to go back, but I cant get you, So long hair lady I am now.😅

That is a good video, one thing that might be helpful for people is to tell us what type of hair different cuts would work or not work with. I had mine cut one time like someone's style, but my hair did not have the texture that worked with the cut. I was really disappointed even though the cut was the same, the look was never there.

Just had someone today ask me to do this cut and I had no idea had to do it so I thought . Now that i watched this i can see that i second guess myself a lot because i actually had the idea right but i was so scared to cut off too much also didn’t help the client was difficult. It’s so true when they say to trust yourself . I had to get someone else to finish the cut because I was freaking out but thanks to this video I feel more confident next time someone ask me to do this cut. She was saying she didn’t want it texturized or razored and I see that this is a crucial step to this look. I need to learn to not allow people to run the show ...they are coming to me to do it so sometimes I don’t understand why some clients try to tell you how to do your job lol no offense I understand that people feel hairdressers ruin some peoples hair but I feel like this is about educating yourself ...I’m always trying to learn new things and I’m glad that I knew I had the idea right my mistake today was not trusting myself
