Junaid Akram is not an actor. He is the guy whose genre is “Moral Policing” and criticizing the public on what’s good and what’s bad. Jab koi Banda screen pr a ke Bara bhai ban rha hai to it should be against his basic morality and conscience to promote paid churan let alone political agenda!

I'm myself following JA for many years but I do want to point one difference here. There is difference between selling products like eletronics, cars or cosmetics and selling a state propaganda. No equivalence can be established between these. The least he could do was to explicitly state that its a paid content. Moreover it sucks to see that salaried class tax is going to celebrity to feed propaganda back to the working class of this nation. JA in my opinion is on the wrong side here. P.S. In the new World Model every thing is becoming a Product and unfortunately people do not realizing it and take the responsibility. they are so lazy that they buy every thing marketed by media influencer without taking the responsibility of investigating about that product. Junaid Akram is not a celebrity in the traditional sense. He is someone who talked about the issues of the country through comedy. His message was direct to the people without filter through new media. People grew to trust him to call a spade a spade. He has lost that trust amongst many of his watchers. Secondly one expects better from celebrities. In this polarizing time where the current government came out with a harsh budget for the masses they should at least remain neutral. I don’t think the average Pakistani takes political advice from celebrities, they are just calling them out for being elitist.

Sorry, Rohan, but I often tell my Indian friends that most Pakistani KZbinrs create content aimed at Indians. They know that Indians have a much larger presence on social media, and many of them enjoy listening to KZbinrs like Junaid Akram, who criticize Pakistani society while praising Indian society-even for issues that Indians themselves complain about and sometimes leave India over. KZbinrs like Junaid Akram owe their popularity to their Indian viewers and fans. The same is true for Syed Muzzamil. These KZbinrs were never intellectuals and have been doing this for a long time. Don't be surprised if you see more and more KZbin content creators from Pakistan following this trend which is set by Junaid Akram. :) Peace!

If Junaid Akram were selling ACs and refused to sell ACs or Mariyam N then that’s his own personal decision, it’s not impacting or influencing anyone. However he is a KZbinr, he has the ability to spread information/misinformation. In the past he spoke about how he was offered to host comedy shows on TV but refused because they only wanted him to trash certain politicians. This change in Junaid Akram’s moral stand is what’s offending people. With the current genocide in Gaza if someone came to Junaid and told him they would pay him X amount of money for posting a Instagram story supporting Israel, would it be acceptable for him to make such a post, because it’s his “danda”? Your Sahil Adeem video was logical, but this one makes no sense. Influencers are literally "influencing" people, so they rely on public support; they earn from public support. They can promote unpopular ideas for money, giving them negative publicity. It's on them to decide what they want to promote, yes, but it's also on the public to take it as they want. They knew the government was very unpopular, so some of them even TURNED OFF THEIR COMMENT SECTIONS, but they still decided to put their name on the line for the government or money. You gotta think of who/what you promote with your reputation on line; you can't just promote anyone/anything expecting no backlash.

The main point to ponder is about the hypocrisy of masses. It’s not about who did campaign and for whom they did but the main point is We people accept anything coming from that person who in our opinion is right irrespective of thinking how much destructive it can be for our country.
