Hmm, that's interesting. I wasn't aware of an announcement. I've commented before that I don't actively follow celebs. I'll check in from time to time with the ones I like tho. I can't predict what the song could represent until I hear the lyrics, but from your description, it seems to be friends just remaining as friends and the possibility of becoming something more has ended. I personally don't think a friendship ends when a couple decides to take that step to make it a romantic relationship. Or it could be an ending of a friendship, but still remembering the sweetness of the good times. Like with any piece of art, it truly is up to your interpretation from what you take from it.
