Newsradio was such a criminally underrated show. Great ensemble, super-smart dialogue. Really hard to find it streaming anywhere.

@@edp3202 Andy Dick offered Phil Hartman's wife Cocaine at a Christmas party when she had been sober for many years. It led to her abusing the drug again and, quite likely, to Phil's murder at her hand. When Lovitz was cast in Newsradio as a replacement for Phil, he saw Dick and, essentially said something like "I wouldn't have this job if it wasn't for you." The beatdown took place in a bar sometime later as Dick came up to Lovitz and friends and made insensitive remarks to him. Then, Jon hit him and smashed Dick's head into the bar repeatedly.

@@edp3202yup. Jon was good friends with Phil and felt that Andy got the drugs to Phil's wife which caused her to go psychotic and kill Hartman. Even more tragic if true.

The simplest of checks shows that the _Breakfast in America_ cover was designed by Mike Doud and Mick Haggerty. Hartman designed covers for other bands but his most lasting creation was the Celtic knot style logo for Crosby, Stills, and Nash which they used for quite a few years.
