Stephen is an absolute legend of an actor. And holy moly 71 years old and doing incredible. He could pass for 58.

I always get him mixed up with the other actor who was in The Garry Shandling Show. He has that weird name which I cannot pull up right now. EDIT: I was thinking of Rip Torn. For some reason, I knew he was on that show with Garry Shandling and I couldn't place him with anything else although I knew he would pop in something from time to time. Was wondering why he wasn't credited on The Garry Shandling Show then discovered it was actually another show called Larry Sanders Show. So weird naming convention.

@byronic-heroine for sure, he's phenomenal. He's great at drama, but he's also a great comedic actor. There aren't a ton of actors that can do both at such a high level like he does.

Another actor who's great at both comedy and drama is one of Stephen Root's co-stars on 'King of the Hill' Toby Huss. He's VERY underrated, but enhances EVERY scene he's in.

Stephen Root is the man. When he goes full berserker in Dodge Ball is one of my favorite scenes ever. Me and my brother were crying. Had to pause it. Still get chills even after watching it 10 times. Always happy at the start and credits come and there's Stephen Root.

Holy crap! I just watched Nick Offerman… and now this! I met Stephen Root in Feb 2007/2008 at a charity event along with his then Fiancé, now wife Romy. Just flat out great people.
