Wow! I have always been a fan of The Platters and their music. My parents used to play their records quite often, and I loved the way they looked so classy. The lead singer, Tony Williams, had an incredibly powerful voice that always left me in awe. I remember watching the movie "Why Do Fools Fall in Love" which starred Halle Berry as Zola Taylor. I was shocked when she left her home in the hands of Frankie Lymon, who at that time, became a drug addict and eventually trashed her house while she was away.

And not to mention that the movie Why Do Fools Fall in Love was the last movie actor Keith Amos appeared in during his lifetime he played the guy in the pool and then 3 months later on November 22nd 1998, he died from a chronic asthma at 36 years old. I hope you do a story on him.

My God larenz Tate was so handsome in this movie!..... Halle Berry was absolutely stunning as well! last but far from least the lovely & beautiful Lela Rochon!!...... Oh dang don't let me forget the gorgeous Vivica Fox! Everyone was in their prime in this particular film.... It took me awhile to recall everyone. Thanks for this biography of Zola. When i first discovered the Platters just a few years ago i was amazed at how beautiful their songs and performing style were. And certainly the attractive charming Zola Taylor caught my eye. She was very pretty especially her smile. Its hard to believe such an attractive woman never had children, certainly she would have graced us with equally beautiful daughters. Even though quite a bit older she should have married the lead singer, they would have made a wonderful couple.
