I’m noticing some of those Big Burly Black Actors didn’t live too long. You had Tab Thacker from Wildcats and the Police Academy movies, Ron Taylor who was in Trading Places who played one of the big cellmates who lifted Eddie Murphy up and Ivory Ocean from South Central. I’m sure there’s more but it’s like these guys died early.

About 227……. It was actually named “227 Bell Avenue”, and the building was not in Chicago, but it was in PA. The credited writer actually took this idea from my family member who based it on their life in the projects growing up and took all of the credit for it. My family member was not knowledgeable regarding pursuing the rights to receive their profits, and to prove that it was indeed their work, the credited people left Chicago after family member found out that they were getting the credit and not them. No lies being told here, and the family member holds no grudges after all of this time, they just wished to be acknowledged.

It's so funny when I hear someone say an actor is nothing like the character they play. That's usually the case 99% of the time. It's called great acting, imo.
