After they started their relationship John always called May by her Chinese name, Fung Yee. I'm reading May's book 'Loving John' and find it to be a fascinating view into John & Yoko's lives.and personalities. What she wrote coincides with what I've read about them in other biographies. I got the impression that Yoko used May to keep an eye on John while letting him sow his wild oats and she got her's. Yoko was born into a wealthy Japanese banking family and I think she didn't want to risk losing control of John's fortune. May wrote that in the Japanese culture it's customary for a wealthy man to have a mistress. I always thought it was so romantic how May whispered 'John' in Number 9 Dream.

I’m one of the few who saw the documentary. Because it has had a limited release. In my view, it is about celebrity and especially before social media stars could for the main do what they wanted. May Pang according to the documentary was selected by John and Yoko to be his lover. John and Yoko with no doubt picked May for this role said the documentary. May worked for John and Yoko and was very young about 21. This action was horrible because it took advantage of a lopsided power dynamic. It forever changed May’s life in a way May did not fully understand at that time. This intrusion into her realty by John and Yoko caused May to now have this forever benchmark of the three years of John Lennon into her life. It’s a good documentary that shows John and Yoko as flawed people and May as someone taken advantage of by John and Yoko.

May said the only reason John went back to Loco, was because that would give him a much better chance of becoming a USA citizen, being able to go back and forth between the US and England. But just for extra insurance, to keep John living with her, AND keep John interested in her, Yoko came up with a VERY reinforced plan, of getting pregnant with John’s baby!! THAT cinched it for her!! She definitely had him back then!! AND she got pregnant almost immediately after he left May and rejoined Loco!! And it was the same year (1975), in the fall, that he got his immigration papers. It was around the time of his son, Sean’s birth. I have always wondered if John and Loco wouldn’t have had a child, if he would have left her, after getting the immigration papers, and gone back to May!! Because I know if John would have left Loco, to go back to May, and wanted custody of Sean, or even visiting privileges, Loco would have fixed it so John would get neither of privileges!! Even if she had to out and out lie, or pay off other people to persuade the court that John wasn’t a fit father!! Loco Yoko is a real piece of work!! I guess she is into witchcraft, also!! So THAT makes her an honest to goodness REAL WITCH!!

I've read an account where Yoko lived as a small child in California for a few years previously? Who knows if that's true? Yoko went to grade school in Japan w/ the empire of Japan's son who later became empire himself. I believe it's her mom's side of family that has some connection to royalty in Japan? Her mom was old money and her dad was new money. He was an international banker. I've read her dad moved the family to the US before WWII and also that they moved to the US in 1953? No idea which is true. Daughters of the rich and powerful in society use to be called debutantes. Coming from rich parents Yoko, when young, seems to have been kind of a Japanese debutante. Opposite of working class Cynthia.

@@dmc4426 Cynthia Lennon was raised in a middle class neighborhood so that’s not considered working class. The Family lived in a house in Hoylake on the Wirral Peninsula which was considered posh by those in Liverpool. In Art College, Lennon facetiously called her Miss Hoylake & Miss Prim but as their relationship progressed to a serious level, he just called her Cyn. Two weeks before Ono was born, the Father reportedly had to relocate to San Francisco because the bank the Father was affiliated with had him transfer there. The Family soon followed but not until Ono was 2 years old so that’s the first time she had met her Father. Then, the Father was transferred back to Japan in 1937 so Ono lived in California for 2 years as a toddler. Then the Family moved to New York in 1945 but Ono remained in Japan to attend a school called Gakushuin, a University in Tokyo established to educate the children of Japanese Nobility. Don’t think she lived in California as an adult. Time consuming to find all the info in one place as it’s bits & pieces here & bits & pieces there. And it’s not empire, but Emperor. Ono was a classmate of Prince Akihito who did become the Emperor of Japan but I believe they were classmates from University, not grade school. But the age groups are not classified the same as in America. Gakushuin is referred to as a University but she graduated from there at age 18-19. Ono did join her Family in New York after she graduated from Gakushuin so that was about 1952. She was to continue her education in Japan as the first Woman to be accepted in to the Philosophy program but it must not have been her cup of tea as she left after the second semester so again, she joined her Family in NY in 1952

@@dmc4426 Yoko is CIA Asset and Lennon's handler. She and Linda Eastman (Faul McFake's) handler, were both from upstate NY. Syracuse I believe. Coincidence they both met and married a Beatle?! I think not. Beatles were a manufactured band created by Tavis tock institute. Also May Pang, as much as I love her, was a part of this fake Beatle world. She claims she just walked into ABCO, or whatever the name of the firm is and landed a "job", is unheard of. I absolutely LOVE May Pang!! What a great video! I truly enjoyed every second of it. I think this is my third time watching it because May is so charismatic, and interesting. Not to mention, such a lovely lady. I wish John would’ve stayed with May! Honestly, I do! Something tells me, he might still be with us if he had! I always had thoughts that yoko COULD have had something to do with John’s murder. I say that because, I read, John wasn’t barely cold yet before she moved another guy into the Dakota apartment!! I’m not alone when I say, I just never liked her! Thank you so very much for sharing this wonderful video with us all!! I love and miss John so much. I was 23 years old when he died! We were having a birthday party for my little brother’s 16th, dec 8, 1980! Having a great time when we heard Howard Cosell interrupt the football game to announce that awful news! We stopped the party, and just sat there in my parents living room..not understanding what the hell was happening!! Love this video.. and I love May! Thanks, again!

Exactly. Yoko was sponsoring John as her spouse to get him a Green Card. Yoko was a US citizen. Nixon and others in the GOP wanted him deported back to UK, because he faced drug charges there. If he wasn't famous he would have been deported right away. Even if he married a US citizen he would have deported due to his drug charges in the UK. People forget he fled the UK to avoid going to trial and then probably jail. He and Yoko married before he entered the US, so he could claim to be the spouse of an American to gain entry. If he didn't have great immigration lawyers he would have been deported. I had a relative who worked in US Customs at the time explain it to me that he really shouldn't have been let into the US. John did not get his Green Card till after he went back to Yoko, in fact not till after Sean was born. In New York adoptions are closed, no way to find out info. What if John and Yoko wanted to have a kid, which would help him get a Green Card, but couldn't? Yoko had a few miscarriages and was in her 40s. I believe Mays book said John went back to Yoko on April 15 in 1975. But in early October of the same year Yoko gave birth to Sean? If Yoko got pregnant right away when she and John got back together, she'd have been less than 6 months along when Sean was born. Sean weighted 9 pounds at both and obviously wasn't a premie. So if Yoko and John weren't together when Sean was convinced, then maybe May was his mother and Yoko adopted him. It would give John and Yoko the baby they needed for John to get a Green card. You see a baby born out of wedlock wouldn't help get a Green Card. But a baby born to a couple where 1 spouse was already sponsoring the other would help. John and Yoko both have large noses, Sean doesn't. Look at pics of John and Yoko has kids, still has large noses. Sean's nose is small has a kid. I think he might be May and Johns kid, adopted by Yoko. John calls Yoko and tells her May's pregnant. Yoko threatens to stop by sponsoring John and have him sent back to UK to face trial and jail. John kept in contact with May. John did the child care of caring for Sean, maybe because he was John's and not Yoko's. When John vacationed in the US Virgin Island Yoko didn't go with. They seemed to enjoy time apart from each other. When John finally got his Green Card, it was after Sean was born. He stayed with Cynthia while Julian was a baby and until he was school age. He may have loved Yoko, he might have not wanted to loose money in a divorce. Yoko dad was a rich international banker. She went to grade school with the emperor of Japan's son, who later became emperor himself. Their families were friends also. As Yoko was connected to the emperor of Japan, John could always find safety from deportation back to the UK with her, even if it meant moving to Japan. Since Yoko's family was rich, she wouldn't be as easy to divorce as Cynthia was. John stood to lose half his assets if he divorced Yoko. John's drug bust in UK is suspicious too. He was seeing Yoko. It was only him and Yoko doing drugs at her hotel. They only ones who'd have known they were there doing drugs was John, Yoko and his dealer. John had never been raided for drugs before. He was a good customer and I doubt his dealer turned him in. So who then? Yoko had lived in NYC since her parents moved there in her teens. John always lived in England. With the raid and John being arrested for drugs and fleeing from England to avoid court and prison, the question about where the couple would live was answered. They'd live where Yoko preferred to live, NYC. Could Yoko have been the 1 to warn police about drug use at her apartment? Knowing John would be arrested and have to leave England? If you wanted to separate someone from their friends and family and also force them to live where you lived, it was a nasty thing to do, but it would put her in control of John. We know she did that later when Yoko tipped off customs officers to search Paul and Linda's luggage. Remember, Paul was arrested. So she tipped off police once, why not twice? Yoko hated Linda. Yoko wanted kids with John, to play music with John and to be an artist of note. Linda met Paul when she worked as a photographer and was sent to get pics of him. Linda was a paid photographer and that's a form of art , so Linda was a working artist. Linda was able to have kids, Yoko struggled to do so. Linda played piano and had sung in chorus in Highschool. So Linda played music with Paul and his band and they were successful at it. John and Yoko may have deserved each other, lol. But without him, she'd never be considered a legitimate artist. She was a rich girl who played at being a revolutionary and then an artist. She need him to open doors for her art career. He need her for a Green Card.

Such a sweet, beautiful lady. I always enjoy May's interviews and her recollections of her time with John. It's a shame that they didn't stay together because she was really good for him - he got to be himself when he was with her - he started making music again and reconnected with his friends and the other Beatles (his brothers, as May says). I definitely want to see this film. As for Yoko, there's nothing I can say that hasn't been said already. I hope she's happy with the life she made for herself.

I played them on a tiny Fischer price record player in my room. I would put my “little people” on the center of the record while it was playing and pretend that they were The Beatles giving me a concert… I know the Magical Mystery Tour album front to back in both 33 and 45 speed.
