Aha!! Didn’t like that Paul married her? So now we get to the truth😇🤣 of why Linda’s getting bashed here. It’s ok to feel that way-but don’t sully Linda’s name because of that. I don’t like Yoko and especially don’t like that John hurt Cynthia so, and abandoned his family without at least legally providing for them on his own before he was made to do so-but I don’t hold Yoko responsible-even though she took much more of an active part in going after John and breaking up that family than Linda did interfere with anyone’s family in a negative way, or knowingly hurt other ppl. She was attractive and didn’t need the trickery.

I’m ashamed to say as a teenager in the 70’s I brought into the crap that Linda was talentless and just in Wings because she was McCartney’s wife but I soon realised she had true talent as a photographer and even as a member of Wings. She was also passionate about animals and obviously loved Paul as he did her (his admission he cried for a year after her death says volumes of his feelings of love towards her) and in what must have been a crazy claustrophobic life being married to a Beatle her dedication to protecting her children is admirable. So much of it was obviously a lot of jealousy of Beatle fans who idolised the cute Beatle and hated the fact he’d found love so the harsh reality they would never have him but the promotional machine to sell pop icons that they were available (see any pop teeny pop stars like The Osmonds, Bay City Rollers etc) but as George Micheal once said about the teeny fans who’s hearts were broken when he came out ‘I’m grateful for their support but what what did they expect I was going to f**k them’ It must have been so hard to live in his shadow but she not only did it but did it so well she was strong and conquered it all. It was so sad when she died, I remember it so well I got home from work at 5am and woke up my wife to tell her. I think Paul is not the loveable mop top he’s painted but for all his faults (being controlling, always being right etc) he loved her a lot. Oh and despite the knocking it got I loved Seaside woman in 1977. R.I.P to a woman who took on the music establishment and fan hostility and came through

And I think people gave a lot of bad pressure to her when they shouldn’t have.I wouldn’t say she was a raving beauty but she was very pretty and she knew how to be a great mother and tried to be a great wife no marriage is perfect. I’ve been married 55 years and there’s been plenty of ups and downs and every day is a challenge. But what I wanna do it any other way probably not. I’m sure that’s how she felt. I’m sure not every day was great but I don’t care who you live with. Very few marriages are perfect. And when people say they don’t fight, I really wonder if they even have a marriage.

Do you know how hard it is to get journalistic and photography work on established publications? and carrying around a small child at the same time? I clearly remember when Linda published her book "Linda's Pictures a collection of photographs by Linda McCartney": in 1976. I ordered it at a book store in Austin, Texas and I received it when it was released there in Austin. If you look inside the book it clearly states that it is a "First American Edition". All of the photographs are simple amazing and truly masters of all of the people that she was able to photograph. The paper colored cover is kind of ripped in places and bent, but it is 48 years old and it has followed me where ever I have lived. I still enjoy all of the photographs in it. Each one is truly amazing. If you ever get to the point that you can order one, do it and you will be happy that you did. The paper cover on the book still has the price take attached to it on the back side of it. I paid $25.00 for it in 1975. So you know it is going to cost a lot more at this point. But you will be glad that you did.

@@shipsahoy1793 I love Paul, and even watching Get Back, it appeared he knew what he wanted and went for it, but he didn’t seem to have an overtly controlling personality. He was gentlemanly about it. I was rather astonished at how courteous they all were of one another. However, there’s a book, Conversations with Linda McCartney by Ronald Resson, that is channeled by a medium. In it she says his life and the course of it were so overpowering, that she eventually stopped feeling she had choices in her own life, and her spirit, therefor, withdrew, because her own Self was not being expressed. She does not blame Paul. She says Paul was a very centered, confident person. It was more the circumstances they were in, and she felt she should have pushed for her own needs more. Whether or not that’s true, I can see where most partners of the most famous and beloved among us feel they need to take a back seat to them, and ultimately that’s not healthy for anyone to do. Still, it seems like she accomplished a lot on her own along with having FOUR kids and a very busy, talented husband. Even so, she may have always carried frustration, even though happy on other levels. She’s someone I would never have guessed would die early. 🙏

It is unfortunate that this Jack Webb/Dragnet computerized voice has not been dropped from supposed factual biographies. I liked her photos, and I believe her first photo book is quite a collectors item. When she met Paul as a groupie/photographer she got photos of him on the boat that same day. She enlarged them later and put them on her door inside her NYC apartment. She had a line to a Beatle, she wasn't going to let him get away, and she got him. It's not right to speak ill of the dead, knowing people that knew her, so I'll end that right there. Paul loved her and she contributed to great charities. Her photo art was poignant and captured rock history in the late 60's. She had access to the stars. Cancer is a horrible condition. I hope we live to see the day when it is only in medical history books/data. Long live Wings, she, and Denny Laine. She was Paul's rock as the Fab's dissolved. I'm impressed they stayed together until her passing.

What a great gal. She must have had a lot of talent to be able to feel secure around a cultural icon like Paul McCartney. Seems they were made for each other. So awful that she had to die so young, with four kids and a love for the ages. I also understand why people were a bit offended by having her onstage performing when she wasn't a musician, but then, if Paul of the Beatles wanted it so, he was gonna have it. I always liked Linda more than Yoko, but I didn't mind Yoko either. She was an artist in her own way, and I think neither John nor Paul would ever have been happy with non-creative women in their lives.

I mean in that time there were no social media, no masks to be put on, no society to like you, or please, Paul image was in the ground post the beatles, his old mate John was writing lyrics and songs and telling how much shit he said in that time (That’s ok, John was inmatured, he changed or tried to at the end and made the pieces with paul) so, linda always stood up for him no matter what, you know they were another thing, they werea real thing, not a rich rich interest relationship because of all the money that both may have had back in that time they seemed very simple persons, they didn’t like the fancy and fashion and stuff, even Linda didn’t shaved her legs and was a thing that media always called her out, they lived in a farm, rasing cattle, wiping animal shit, doing hard labors, living so natural, apart from everybody, and like everyone says no marriage is perfect, i mean, she died many years ago, but in conclusion what i can tell, is that she seemed to be a wonderful woman, a good wife too and mother, and fighter for animals rights and at certain i may disagree with her and paul about veganism, but anyway rest in peace linda, wherever you are now, muse of one the greatest artist ever born, a mozart or beethoven in our time, Sir Paul Mccartney.

And of all the people that have made comments on their marriage he had a few negative comments. More or less about how Paul suck the air out of the room because he's who he is. I took his comments to be that it was uncomfortable for him to be around Paul Paul Paul. I would imagine a lot of people can't relax. Paul also actually said in his 2021 Lyrics Book in his explanation of his song We Can Work It Out,that sadly he and Jane did breakup. And he has included portraits that he took of Jane in both of his recent books including Eyes Of The Storm. Paul wrote quite a few beautiful love songs that are known to be for and about British actress Jane Asher, who he met in April 1963 when Jane had just turned 17 a few weeks before and Paul turned 21 two months after, his songs, All My Loving,Things We Said Today, And I Love Her, Every Little Thing,Here There And Everywhere, his great late 1964 blues rocker,She's A Woman and I Will. He wrote great songs about the arguments he had with her,( What You're Doing,We Can work It Out,I'm Looking Through You,and For No One) which were all of his fault because he was a sexist and kept unfairly pressuring Jane to give up her acting career and devote herself to him. Can you do a biography of beautiful natural redhead very intelligent, kind British actress Jane Asher? Paul didn't break up with Jane Asher,Paul was still engaged to marry British actress Jane Asher but in July 1968 Jane came home unexpectedly early from touring with her theatre company and she sadly found Paul in bed with a young groupie writer Francie Schwartz and she ran out of the house and Paul's life forever. They had been lovers since April 1963 just a few weeks after Jane turned 17 and Paul turned 21 two months later and Paul asked her to marry him on Christmas day 1967,so they were engaged for 7 months when Jane found him in their bed with another woman. It's a real good thing that Linda was there for Paul because he was a total mental wreck after Jane left him, he was drinking hard liquor and crying to Brian Epstein's assistant and friend of Paul's too, Alistair Taylor and came over his house waking him and his wife up at 1 and 2 in the morning, also calling him at these times asking Alistair to come over and he would cry and drink liquor. And he also told Alistair that Jane wasn't just his woman, she was his closest friend, interesting that he didn't say John,or even George and Ringo were his closest friends, and he said he opened up everything inside himself to Jane, including about his mother Mary dying when he was only 14 and how he dealt with that and that he couldn't believe what a prat he had been and that he had everything and threw it all away etc . Paul wrote Let It Be about his beloved nurse and midwife mother Mary who died from breast cancer at only age 47 when Paul was only 14,and his brother 12,and he wrote The Long and Winding Road also soon after Jane left him. Paul wrote a lot of beautiful love songs for and about Jane including I Will on The White album and she and Paul were engaged since Christmas day 1967 when he wrote in India and she was there with The Beatles and also some bitter arguments songs which were all his fault because he was a sexist selfish pig and kept pressuring her to give up her acting career that she loved and rightly refused, she was in her first British film at age 5 and had been in TV shows, films and theatre since she was a child. Paul also tried very hard for a while to get Jane to forgive him and take him back and he had met Linda 3 times by then, but Jane returned all of Paul's letters un opened and all of his phone calls were ignored because Jane wanted nothing to do with Paul anymore and she sent this message clearly to him and you can't blame her because she was rightly very hurt, angry, and she had self respect and couldn't forgive or trust Paul anymore. And Linda did what Paul sexistly selfishly pressured Jane to do, give up her career and devote herself to him. I'm sure that Paul would have married Jane Asher because if Jane had taken him back and forgiven him, then they would have been engaged to be married again which is what Paul was trying to accomplish to no avail. From the Tumblr fan page, Jane Asher (re) Source Jane Asher (re)Source “When it ended, it was awful. Jane came home to find Paul with Francie Schwartz, a groupie from New York. It was terrible for Jane. Francie was not just in the house but in the bed she shared with...
