Future Academy Award winner Hillary Swank was a regular cast member for a season. Dean Cain appeared in a few episodes a year before he was cast as Superman/Clark Kent on 'Lois & Clark the New Adventures Of Superman'. Milton Berle guest starred as a retired vaudevillian performer who Steve Sanders befriended. Burt Reynolds showed up in an episode as well.

I was just going to say that *Hilary Swank* was hired for the 8th season (1997-1998) but was unceremoniously fired after 16 episodes, in the middle of the season. Then just a year later, she landed her first Oscar-winning role. Talk about showing them!

It was perfect timing for her. I mean lets be honest no one was really watching the later seasons of 90210 anyways. So instead of being stuck in a prime time soap opera ensemble she was free to audition for Boys Don't Cry. And after that she was a leading lady in feature films.

I think it's great seeing the 90210 cast together again, but it's sad not having Luke "Dillon " Perry not there. I also wish it was a actual reboot with them playing the old characters, not playing themselves preparing for a reboot. Just my opinion.

@@KJ3113 Because none of the cast members had any interest whatsoever in doing that. The creativity of what the show was is what drew the cast members to it. We would have seen the cast in their character roles more had Fox picked up a second season. That is when the "meta" show would have really become a show within a show, with the cast being shown filming scenes of their picked up reboot in character. I think Fox really missed the boat on picking up the show for a second season to see what the show really could have become.
