@snowysnowyriver2 жыл бұрын
I agree with you. Willow and Oz was a huge love story. One of the most heartbreaking episodes was Willow falling apart when Oz left. I think it's rather disingenuous to sideline the Willow and Oz relationship in order to big up the gay one. Willow was clearly bi-sexual and that should be celebrated by both love stories to Oz and Tara.

I think Oz and Willow were my fav couple in the whole series. Here she was this kooky brainy but so clearly awesome girl who gets with this cool guitar playing awesome guy. I just loved their story. And really horribly felt it when he ditched her to find out more about his werewolfness. That eps where he and the other werewolf/rock girl are talking and they both kind of make fun of Willow for not knowing some drum reference. Still kills me to think about it. How he basically rejects her for not getting him; like he finally realized she's not cool enough for him. It was horrible but done so well.

Not a fan of this focusing so much on Angel, who yes was significant to Buffy's early journey but was a relatively small part of the show compared to everything else. I dislike that the video glosses over and ignores the many huge pivotal journeys from seasons 3-7, including very dark arcs of the show like Buffy's depression and struggles with being addicted to violence via Spike, dark Willow, Warren's actions and what he represents, Spike's rabbit hole of obsession and se;xuaI vioIence, other addictions and all kinds of life issues, and so on. Angel only loved Buffy when he had a soul. When the curse was lifted and he lost his soul, Angelus did not love Buffy. Now I’m nineteen and my best friend and her little sister are slowly getting through the seasons and even a friend from therapy is starting to watch it. Ok I don't care whose feelings get hurt, I completely disagree about who Buffy was best with. I am team Spike. Know why? The DEMON fell in love with Buffy. Unlike Angel, who was cursed with a soul and had no romantic future with Buffy whatsoever, Spike the DEMON fell so hard in love with her that he risked everything (he literally almost died) in order to try to be good enough for her. He knew the pain he would go through beforehand. 1. Both Spike the man and Spike the demon loved Buffy wholeheartedly until the end. 2. There wasn't a negative stipulation on sex where Spike's soul was concerned. They could have lived happily together for a lifetime. 3. Buffy loved Spike more than Angel, it's what I personally saw in the show. They knew each other so well by the end of the last season that there was an actual platform for lifelong love and trust. 4. Let's face it... Without a soul, Angelus is the single most evil and nasty being that existed in the show. I literally hate him. Conclusion???? SPIKE FOR THE WIN.

Yes! My hubby and I are team Spike. You put it perfectly. We started watching the show from the beginning. I'm in my 60s now, and have binge watched it countless times. I always hoped they would do a three season wrap up. Give the actors a little extra fun work, although Hannigan and Boreanaz have been incredibly busy. Going back after two decades would be perfect. Spike and Angels obvious aging could be explained as a result of having their souls. And I know she said she thought Angel was the better choice, but I hoped the writers would have Buffy choose Spike. So many shows are being rebooted and continued now. Sad we couldn't get a Buffy fix.

I always thought that scene where vampire Willow caresses human Willow and she goes from being creeped out to confusion to arousal in less than a minute was an amazing performance by Alyson Hannigan. That season the writers decided one of Buffy's friends was going to be gay in college. It's why Xander had the LArry interactions, was a 50/50 shot and if Amber Benson didn't have such good chemistry with Alyson, Xander would have been introduced to one of Riley's friends.

Yea but with her relationship with Angel, she learned how to mature especially after they broke up, she knew that she had to stop it, so did Angel. With Spike it started out very toxic, you can just tell that this was a very destructive relationship, Buffy was just trying to feel something and that was Spike. I do think that Spike was in love with her which was sweet and yea they did have chemistry, but I think the whole Spike/Buffy thing helped Spike more than Buffy, in terms of trying to find who he was. Buffy maybe did love him, but I don't think she could have loved him the way Spike wanted her to, I think maybe that's why he rejected her at the end. She did say she loved Angel more than she will ever love anything in this life.

They separated them. And if you pay attention. He was only in the photo shoot, but they didn’t show people chatting with him. The interview of the cast been separate from Whedon, is now, so obviously, a necessary healthy boundary for those who experienced toxic behaviors from Joss. Faith/Eliza not been there was disappointing.

So during this they pose the question of who was better for Buffy, Angel or Spike. And I agree that Angel (with a soul) is better for her than Spike (with a soul), only because with Angel she fully returned that love. But Angel (no soul) and Spike (no soul), there's no comparison. Without a soul Spike improved as a person and loved Buffy; Angel without a soul killed her friend and tried to end the world. So in my humble opinion, overall, Spike was better for her because he loved her with or without a soul....... and they could bang. I said a-bang bang a-bangiddy bang. I said a-bang bang bang a-bangiddy bang!!!!!

Now about neither. Kinda felt like she was suppose to end up with Xander when you think about Joss Whedons intentions for the show. But if course that would have driven the rabid Angel and Spike fans. But really between Angel and Spike it makes the most sense to end up with neither.

This played every Tuesday night when I was growing up, I'm 33 now but wow the impression it made on me. Sarah is iconic, Charisma is an absolutely fantastic person. David Boreanaz went on to do Angel before Bones and he is just phenomenal. So many great things came out and from this show. It's amazing, definitely a go to when I have nothing to watch.

Loved this series, watched it multiple times, was lucky enough to meet James Marsters at the Calgary Comicon a few years back, not only is he just as gorgeous but he was so kind, pretty shy and just so nice. Stunning in, stunning out. I met John Barrowman (Captain Jack Doctor Who) at the same time as a joint photo op, could not have been a better day for me. They were total gentleman and so kind to the fans, even the pushy event organizers were put in their places if they tried to rush us through. 100% star quality. Much respect for them both.

Just started to rewatch this series because I was too young to remember most of the earlier seasons. And can I just say, that the things they did, said and how they took care of the characters is simply unmatched in today's TV shows! I can even see the influence of Angel and Buffy's love story playing out in modern tV shows today

Thank you People for this Cast Reunion, I remember being just a girl when I started watching this series which I consider the first supernatural-teen series I binge, since then my love for the vampire and dark concept, this brought me so many memories, and I do agree with the cast, one of my fav episodes was the one they all loss their voice, that scream at the end from Buffy was epic, of course there were many more that still live in my memories.

Spike was so sexy, and the Joyce dying was unforgivable & heart wrenching, but the scene with Giles walking up the stairs to find Jenny with the Opera song and then David's voice describing pain, was kinda beautiful and devasting.

I've owned all seasons since my mid twenties and I'm still watching every single episode at 49 years old. Now I get to play them again for my boyfriend whose never watched them and he's 50. This show has been my life line. Love Love Love every single moment. Brilliant. Just watched "The Body" again last night and bawled my eyes out. Love you all and heaps of gratitude for this creation and all of you who made it the juggernaut it is.

They captured so many human young adult moments in a fantasy show with monsters and heros. It still blows me away just how well orchestrated it all was and sometimes not even on purpose! As a young teen, watching Buffy and Angel it really connected to the excitement, but also fear, of first love. Being vulnerable with someone for the first time as a teenage girl, there's always fears of rejection or doing something wrong. When Angel lost his soul, they played right into those fears that a guy will flip a switch after being sexual with a girl and turn into a jerk. Angel was someone we knew would never do that, but being a supernatural show, anything can happen. We got to really see what that kind of broken trust looked like from a young girl's viewpoint and be a part of the feelings of confusion and shock at Angel's switch.

On the contrary watching the show helped me finding what i really wanted in a man, what was truly good in this world despite all the evil, that even a Monster can feel love and emphaty, (thanks to Spike) and we aren't Just Black and White Monsters and Heroes, that we can be the villain in someone else story, (thanks to Faith) that we can be Heroes even without superpowers (thanks to xander, dawn, Anya and Giles) and even the Heroes are fragile, weak, and sometimes lone (thanks to Buffy). I really learn the true love in every shape thanks to Buffy and spike, tara and Willow, Anya and xander, and Buffy/dawn/Joyce family love. I thanks joss whedon for helping me throught my teen years and adulthood, he really helped me

I must applaud Charisma Carpenter for the courage needed to show up, to see Joss again. But she did it for the fans. It was easily the biggest meeting of the cast members ever, and we wanted to see everyone. Yes Tony Head was busy and for some reason they didn't invite Eliza Dushku (they still had guest stars in Alexis and Kristine) so props to Charisma. Were it me, I would've shown up for the fans, and then kicked Joss' fake feminist ass so hard it'd be sore for a month.

Genuinely think she was being a diva. They literally incorporated her pregnancy into season 4 of Angel. Feel she was probably demanding more than she was due and was let go as a result.

Truly one of the best written shows in the history of TV. Think what you will about vampires, demons, etc, it's witty, clever, passionate, smart, funny and makes you feel. Too few shows have ever achieved all of that, so this one deserves to be on Top 10 lists.
