thanksgiving weekend 2009 attended Kathy Griffin performance at Gibson Amphitheater at Universal Studios in Hollywood. The news of Tiger Woods had just broke but very little about it. That night Kathy spent over an hour giving details and backstory to everything. We didn't laugh much because it was hard to believe what she was saying, however as weeks and months unfolded more truth about it came out. She was right. This video remarked "it didn't take long for rumors to start", I think the 6,000+ in attendance that night expedited those rumors. I've always wondered how Kathy knew so much and also how she knew it would make for a thrilling evening for a paying audience. Although it was more of a Ted Talk ala tmz and not standup comedy, we loved it.
