much of black sub culture has been taking from white European culture, we brits were doing a form of hip-hop- rap, long before black Americans.

Exactly! I'm an American even I'm aware of that. Cockneys have been rhyming for well over 100 years.

Here's the thing, I like when my skin is darker in the summer, I like certain fashion choices that might be worn by black people, I like the style and swag that black people seem to have naturally. Do I want to be or wish I was black? NO!!!!! That's not to say there's anything wrong with being black. I'm perfectly fine and happy being a Latina!

She doesn't know that she is black. That's funny, you ever wondered why latin people and Arabic people look exactly the same? You've been lied to your whole life. You already belong to the 12 tribes. Your already home.

I'm a happy Chinese because I no longer live in China.

Not my intention to teach a latina about her own identity but let me assure you that you can be both black and latina. These are not mutually exclusive. Because "Latina" is not a race. It's an ethnicity. You can be latina white or black and/or native American.

@williamk70 True! I do have African roots. I will never deny that. If you were to look at me, you would label me as a "typical" looking Puerto Rican female. If I would compare myself to a celebrity, I would say I look more Jlo than Rosario Dawson. Meaning, I'm very light with light hair. I have cousins who are darker skinned and have darker features like hair and eyes. They look as if they have visible African roots, if that makes any sense at all. If I were to claim "black" I would be accused of trying to be something I'm not.
