Definitely did get a kick out of it! I have been playing around with the Lafitear LF3 Pro. It sounds shocking out the box but i was absolutely dumbfounded that with EQ, it was only just behind the likes of the blessing 2. It has magnetostat advertised as EST, 2x DD, 2x BA. The magnetostat appears quite high quality for the price of the IEM. The DD and BA are actually not bad either. The point behind this ramble was that I realised there is serious potential in a well tuned magnetostat and the whole KZ fake EST debacle has turned many companies away from magnetostat far too early. The (Sonion real) ESTs in my variations are nice enough. I agree that while they are different they aren't outright better than BA, and certainly not for the price. I am going to hopefully rip that magnetostat out of the LF3 Pro and measure it when I next get time

Nice one! Thanks :) The off center hole will flatten resonances, so in most cases a asymetrical positioning in acoustics is a benefit.

The off-center hole is right above the part of the coil, i.e. where the diaphragm has the highest amplitude.
