Celestyal Crystal - Full Ship Tour

I worked on this ship, three best years of my life.. It was lovely seeing some known faces in the video and felt great reminiscing in old memories.. I actually looked this up as I got news that Crystal has been sold/scrapped, not sure exactly but it's not with celestyal anymore.. It's heartbreaking, but they've got two new ship, I hope they're as beautiful as Crystal was..

Amazingly for 40 yrs old the ship looks great. I wouldn’t mind cruising on her at all. She has been well maintained.

I sailed this ship in 1995 as the Norwegian Leeward....it was our second cruise. We've been on many since. That ship has had a very interesting life as mentioned in the comments below. To add, it was also a ferryboat. Thanks so much for the tour.....we are thinking of adding a Celestyal Cruise after our Celebrity Cruise of Europe next year (Covid be GONE!). Like they include so much!

This looks like a nice little ship for a group cruise! I have never been on such a small ship but it did not look crowded and still plenty of space to spread out and enjoy your vacation. Cannot wait to check it out :)

I traveled on this ship for a 7 day cruise in Greece and it was definitely the most scenic cruise I’ve been on, and for how small the ship is, it really has a ton to offer

I'm giving serious consideration to the 7 day Agean trip. I like the idea of a smaller ship, those massive ones are a bit overwhelming, and more impersonal. I've heard the Crystal ship is a little dated, but that's character... the reviews say it's very clean and friendly. And the trip itself is fabulous. I appreciate your informative vlog, it gives a better idea than just photos. Thankyou. 🛳

My favourite place on any ship is the open promenade deck and the aft with a wake view. You did a great job with this video. The background music was nice but just a little loud. I think that this series is your best so far.

I believe I sailed on this ship way back when it was the Song of America. The circular lounge at the top of the ship was called the "Viking Crown".

This ship is not Song of America. The Celestyal Crystal was built as a ferry in 1980 and converted to a cruise ship in 1986.

I really like this ship. I realise it's an older smaller vessel but that's the kind of ship we've enjoyed most. NOT fans of the huge oceangoing condos that seem to proliferate nowadays.

Excellent job! I can't wait to hear about all the food! Were there larger showers in the spa changing room? The one in the stateroom looked small. What category oceanview stateroom did you have and did you feel any engine vibration? How bad was the smoking onboard?

Understand it’s a smallish cruise ship…did you get sea sick? MDR and buffet open for all 3 meals each day? How’s the food? Thanks for the tour.

Better to be proactive and take a pill before you get on the ship. And yeah they have food out for every meal. Cant say how the food is though. But I do know they feed you. Something about hangry passengers and not wanting a mutiny.

I've only cruised NCL. This looks very nice, too. It's a much more intimate space, isn't it? Not like the big ships, like Joy and Bliss. How was the food? Does the staff speak English?

This ship has one of the most cursed histories and safety track records. It burnt down in dry dock. Partially sunk after hitting ice and has had multiple collisions over its lifespan. Avoid. ⚠️
