Celica GT4 Tubular Subframe & Sheet Metal Work

Some more great progress on the back of the Celica GT411 project! I always learn so much from professionals like Victor while building these cars. The standards upheld and the processes are my favorite things. With that said, the rear subframe is in Babayyy! Like, Subscribe, and Enjoy Zach's camera work!

Awesome build to watch. Not sure if you guys are planning on getting this logbooked in America, but you may want to check the rule book on a few things. The carbon roof isn't allowed, and if you are running carbon doors you'll need crash protection built into the doors or door bars with vertical posts.

Thanks for the input. We have read the rulebook and will be very close to it. I don’t plan to logbook it unless ARA does a tarmac rally. If that happens then we can always put a metal roof and doors on. I believe that will end up being the only thing that wouldn’t pass. Been 4 months since I read the rule book so I could be wrong.

@@RyanTuerck Ah that's too bad, I was hoping to see it at some gravel events! If you do go for a logbook, look into what you need to add to run the carbon doors. It's an easy to miss rule, but it's also not hard to retrofit in the future.

I'm desperately hoping that he's building it to american rally association regs under the open 4wd class. This would be the most likely given the modifications that have been done. No clue atm. Would be a shame if all this work just became a sema car.

It will be very close to ARA open class rules. Minus carbon roof and doors. If we end up doing a rally then we will change those out. Time will tell.

You might want to check with whatever rally series you plan to drive in about having a composite roof. A number of series are weird about that and require metal roof panels.
