I admire the effort you put in explaining all those little things that should be clear immediately. There will always be people with the imperfections in their minds which cannot be corrected even with the Photoshop. You made a brand of your own name and it is the hardest thing to do. Good for you, girl! Just keep going!

Hi! I just found your channel and am super excited to learn from you! I totally agree with you that editing is not faking. You could have a gorgeous set of nails on a client, but if she has a scar or a bruise, people will focus on that instead. I'm looking forward to seeing more in this series! 💜💅

Tfs. This is a great educating video. I'm trying to gain employment in a salon, and one thing that employer wants to see is a portfolio. And, yay, my phone can't take a realistic pic to save my life. Lol. These tips are the best.

Thankyou Celina for doing these vids. I use my iPhone and love editing my photos, my clients like it as well. I use a couple of apps. My question is how do I use the light & background to make the glitter look even half as awesome and shiny as it is? Also what are the best types of hand poses? You are awesome helping like you do.

Thanks Celina! I'm so excited to follow this series of videos. I've been a nail tech for almost 8 years. I took a couple years off and have only done part time nails while I explored another business venture but am hoping to get back into the swing of things on a full time basis again soon. This is super helpful For re branding myself 😊💅🏻

Soooo happy you addressed this Celina! 💕 It can be a very frustrating misconception for people that take time and pride in editing pictures 💅🏻✌🏻

Your so bang on . Photos rarely do justice to the real life look you've created . I recently had a set that were a pink/ purple colour shift chrome with the rain drop effect but no matter what lighting I took the photo it came out looking navy blue and as you said I couldn't offer what was presented in the photo , so through a simple edit filter I managed to get closer to the real life picture . I am so glad you at covering this topic . I have considered getting a light box so maybe in your next vid in this series you might cover wither or not this is a good idea. The nail guru , amazing as ever .

I understand fully.... I do hair and on my phone it always has these blue under tones that are not there. I hate it. I am looking for a new camera because I'm not getting a new phone.

I am very good at photoshop and have been doing it for years. I am new to photography and am not VERY good at it so when I take pictures of things (soon to be my nails as I will be starting nail tech school) I will HAVE to pull them into PS to get the colors on the images closer to what they look like in real life or you also can take out any background imperfections. Super important. I stopped the video to type this because I was mildly triggered. lol so maybe she will say the same lol

Hah! (last time I commented on my personal account so have that in mind if you read this) You seem to have the one party pooper watching your videos just to thumb it down. Honestly, I think people are not aware engagement is engagement and a thumbs (up or down) equals engagement. The better for you for getting all the thumbs! ;)
