My nails grow the best when I have no product on them. after 3 - 4 weeks I usualy have some good lenght. But then I like to put on nail polish so they get brittle after a week or two, so it is a never ending cycle 😀 I would say besides the healthy sleep and eting, moisturising often is the most important, i see a huge difference when I dont do that.

@anastaciachristians7117 I started painting them, even just doing the base coat plus a top layer without any colored polish helped keep my thinner nails stronger to grow out better. I just started a few weeks ago after being a lifetime biter and there's already a difference. I did learn that I really need the base coat though, top coat by itself peels within a day. This is assuming you already do the basic nail prep of file/buff and acetone before applying the base coat.

So, I grow my natural finger nails 1 inch long from cuticle to tip. How? I stopped biting them, I stopped using them to open things, I stopped rough housing. No oils, no gel, no acrylics, no pills, no special foods, etc. Just doing normal things with grace. Also, the shape matters. For me, if I wear them as coffin shape, they break easily. Square is stronger for my nails. I don't like the stiletto, almond or round shape for my nails. Other than that, it's just genetics.

Thank you for this video - my challenge is swimming in a chlorinated pool - I’m starting to think Vaseline and latex gloves is going to be my answer - if anyone knows an answer to help with swimming I’d be so grateful!!
@irinareinaАй бұрын
I think it depends on how often are you planning to swim, if it’s every day, maybe you should create an “after swim routine”, making sure that no chlorine left on your body and applying nail oil with vitamin e. But if it is just one time a week, I don’t think it would damage nails a lot…

You should start working with your mind. Biting nails is coming from escaping emotions, same as overeating, smoking, drinking, being stuck in social media. So fixing the mental issues should help

my nails grow SO fast, but i have anxiety problems and i bite my nails to calm me down... What can i do??? I rlly want to grow them.

Create another habit instead of that one 😌

I try not to comment on this account but I really want to reply to this. Put on uv activated gel stickers (i think that’s what you call them) and put something bad tasting on top such as aloe vera or safe oatmeal lotion. They will grow with your nails and add a second layer of protection even if you bite.

When doing the test for this did you do your gel+acrylic powder during the 4 weeks or were they left completely bare for the test? I am just curious ❤ I had to recently cut mine all off to nubs too cause one completely broke so figured I'd just start over as well along with you!😂❤
@irinareina2 ай бұрын
No, first 5 weeks they were completely naked, after 5 weeks I applied one layer of rubber base + one layer of top coat(no acrylic powder) and after 8 weeks I already did my acrylic powder + gel routine 😌
@_kiraflores_2 ай бұрын
@irinareina Gotcha ok! I personally won't be able to do the same because mine always chip at a short length or snag so easily when left bare with nothing at all to protect them. So I'll just use the gel + acrylic method plus nail oil soaks and track my progress for 8 weeks. ☺️🫶🏻🩷✨️

Yeah, but not as effective as on naked nails 😌

i have a question. because i dont have time to do the nail bath, i use nail oil at night which actually helped a bit with growing my nails. it didnt make them grow like crazy but it did make them stronger. so can i add salt in that oil because it helps, or will the salt not work well if i mix it with my nail oil?
@irinareinaАй бұрын
Oh no, better don’t. Salt will irritate your skin around for that long. And it won’t probably even dissolve. Better add vitamin e capsules in your oil 😌

yes but also genetics and your diet helps , my mom and dad and grandparents have short nails so i decided to grow out my nails by using vaseline bcz other oils didnt work for me, i recommend to try different oils to see what works for you. Also because i have a balanced diet that was the key for my nail growth. so sometimes i will have fruits and protien and some days i will have protien with vegitables ( its okay to have junk food from time to time)

I have long, like very long natural nails, and they grove very fast, the problem is that they just broke very easily..😢 And this all begins when I moved to Germany, so I think it’s one of the reasons, cause I also became hair problems
@irinareina22 күн бұрын
Maybe your body is just adjusting, but if it’s been long, it can be about food or water
