Hearing this again gives me chills. I remember when it was released and it blew me away. Their vocals are so complementary to hers. They wrote the perfect song for her too. It pleases me when you do Celine Dion as you know I recommended her on patreon and you were not keen on the idea and I respected it and I'm still here. Out of the Trinity I think Celine Dion is the kindest, humblest and less complicated. She has a personality that not everyone gets but I like her gentleness I've never heard one bad thing about Celine Dion in the 30 years I have been a fan. There's no metal teeth, no puffy crazy plastic surgery,the tits aren't always out to the ceiling and there's no drugs. I truly believe she is as kind as she appears and now she has this horrible incurable disease and will never sing again but we're lucky to have these performances. This is a beautiful song from a great album and I hope we see more Celine Dion on your channel. I know you don't like the bombastic over the top power vocals but she does have songs like this. I would love to see you review Fly from the Oprah Winfrey show. Thank you again

Thanks! Yeah, I keep trying her every now and then and normally like what I hear. I don't plan to dig too deep into her career at the moment (which is why I wouldn't do her on Patreon - it's no disrespect to you or her, I just use Patreon for 3 or 4 specific artists, and don't have the time to do any additional artists over there). I'll keep checking her out on the channel though!

Excellent video. Your videos are great because they’re so obviously honest and have more effort in the listening behind them than simply asking for a hit on the “like” button. Keep up the good work. (Edit: I know you receive a lot of suggestions each time you post, so i am loathe add to that list lol. That said, as we head into the holidays there’s a song that might be a new one to you that you might add to the list. For decades, my family and friends have always called me the king of Christmas music lol and through countless covers of it, to me Christina’s version of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” (studio, not live) is THE definitive version. I have a feeling it’ll be worth your time too. An absolute perfect combination of the soft feel of a holiday night around a fireplace and a tree coupled with her exquisite power too. Barry Gibb produced one of Barbra Streisand’s best selling albums in 1980, “Guilty” and Barry did backing vocals for many tracks. (Just in case you’re looking for an excuse to segue into Barbra’s stuff.) If you’re a Bee Gees fan, you probably know that after the ‘disco sucks’ backlash in the 70s they had a hard time charting with their own songs. Instead they hit big writing and producing songs for other artists. Barbra was the biggest example, but he also wrote and produced hits for Dionne Warwick, Diana Ross, Kenny Rogers/Dolly Parton

They sing Come tomorrow and Above the law together on this album. On her 2021 "Release me 2" album which is a compilation of unreleased tracks, there's also a duet of her and Barry called "If only you were mine" that was written for her "Guilty pleasures" album but which was not kept in the final tracklist (well, actually it's more a featuring than a duet).

Strange how you struggle to connect with Celine Dion , as you do with other artists. I can’t quite connect with your channel until it happens properly and you stamp the same respect on her name, as everybody else’s you review

I totally understand your point of view. I'll say this: there is no disrespect from me towards Celine Dion. She's had a massive career, huge success, great collaborators, never heard a bad word about her personally. And her voice - it's as versatile and powerful as anyone else I cover on the channel, it's unique, she can sing many genres.... but your perception is correct- I do struggle to connect with her, though I keep trying with an open mind. In a way, it's unexplainable and is just a personal, emotional thing - something either hits you or it doesn't. I understand why people think she's amazing, but there are many more singers whose voices I prefer to listen to, whether they are technically as impressive or not. Different strokes for different folks?
