Pikachu ex is to enable Area Zero Underdepths and increase your Bench to 8. Raichu V can one-shot big Stage 2 Pokemon. Magnemite is to evolve into Magneton and get energy back onto the board late-game. Miraidon makes getting all these cards out hyper-consistent, the deck wouldn’t work without Tandem Unit. The cards that aren’t Lightning-type are in the deck because they are necessary draw pieces to help the deck get its main strategy online, you run enough search to get all of them out

You can't really do more open than that. You may not like the decks that are the best rn but when you look at the spread from rhe last regional, there were like 12 decks between 12 and 5%

I got my start with Chien-Pao ex too! It might not be in the top ten right now but it'll stay fairly competitive until rotation and it can make definitely make some great plays, so you should keep at it!

I started with Chien-Pao too! Its Great to learn. Raging Bolt, Gholdengo and Even Azugladis have simillar playstyles, and are a Little Bit stronger at this Point, so if you want to try something new i can recommend them

I use Regidrago VStar on TCG Live and it helped me go from 0 to Master League in 25 games. I assembled the deck with codes from Lost origin and Twilight Masquerade I had lying around from the TCG collection. Its a very versatile deck that can target multiple weaknesses of the current Meta opposition such as Charizard EX by exploiting Trifrost (Kyurem) and taking out the entire bench of basics in turn 2

Just started playing tcg live again, used to play waaaaay back in the XY format. I've been using my own Tera Sylveon Ex deck I made that locks down the opponent by shuffling their big threats into the deck

I use to play a ton of pokemon live during the ADP era and I play a lot of pocket now. I have tons of current bulk from opening physical cards , so I really want to get into physical play. I just don’t know where to start ): is there a way to find card shops in my area that are verified for Pokémon Play! Matches ?

I don't get how people rate pokemom decks. Miradon wins 1st and second in a regional but is still considered bad, yet charizard does the same exact thing in the next regional and is considered a top 3 deck. Popularity does not determine how good a deck is btw

It’s definitely not bad, but it’s pretty linear and easy to disrupt. If you whiff that turn 2 attack it starts to fall apart against decks like zard and bolt. also running 17~ energy does not feel great for consistency sake.

For Raging Bolt, I should add that Slither Wing is a necessary inclusion in this format with the Pikachu ex running around. Without Slither Wing, Raging Bolt kinda just loses to any deck playing Pikachu ex as an attacker with basically no counterplay

How do I get enough crafting material to make one of these decks? There's no where to buy credits

Unfortunately there’s no way to directly buy currency. The best work around is to buy code cards and open a bunch of the same set because duplicates of cards past 4 copies give you currency. I have a coupon code in my description for the best code site if you decide to purchase some. I also suggest the KZbin channel Trust Your Pilot. He makes videos about how to get currency and the most efficient ways to build decks.

Intricate but fun way, bare with me: you need to buy packs/codes for packs. Then you open those packs and each card typically has a cap limit of 4 copies of that card. So once you get more than the cap (5th copy of that card and moving fwd) that "extra" copy turns into credits. The rarer the card, the more credits (capped at 100 for the rarest dupe). So on and so forth until youve made the credits needed. Advice for you: focus on 1 set (for example: surging sparks) so that you are hitting those sets and getting plenty of extra copies.

I’m a bit surprised that Manaphy isn’t in the Charizard list. There’s a lot of Drago (Kyurem) in the format as well as LZB (Radiant Greninja). I guess the Thorton is enough to recover? Feels bad to have both Charmanders wiped on Turn 2 though.

Even with manaphy they have cologne so there’s a chance they leave you with an even worse board with a manaphy stuck active.

It's because it's a popular deck, more than anything else, I feel. It doesn't usually seem to do well in tournaments from my understanding, and given the way it's built, I'm not really surprised that it doesn't typically do well: the fact that you need 2 different engines for energy acceleration (Ogrepon ex and Sada) and are juggling 3 different energy types makes it seem like it would be clunky to play in my opinion -- couple that with an attack that requires you to discard energy, and the deck just feels like it gets by on popularity and the capacity to one-shot anything in the format if set up above anything else

The best beginner friendly deck is raging bolt. The best deck overall Regidrago isn’t too hard to win with but very hard to master.

I think they do because there’s a different full art, and limitless doesn’t show full arts. Just personal preference for the art I assume. Technically the attack is also better even though you won’t be using it.

Thanks Sherlock. The point of a "top 10 best decks" video based around data from the first two tournaments of a new format, ofc. Ought to help u to gage the approx strength of decks in order to make an informed decision as to what is a good bad play for upcomming events withing the same format (highest strength ≠ best pick for a given event). But by adding junior stats and excluding d1 playrate, this video is basically a screenshot of limitless with 10 minutes bloat and a clickbait title that has nothing to do with the content. Ofc. Thats fair and all the power to him if that gets him clicks and buyer's for his course, i just personally expected better from him.
