I have search Google and KZbin on 8 different occasions trying to figure this out. My frustration grew because they were sending me down rabbit holes of going to different keyboards and other setting changes. Nothing worked. I feel lucky to have found this instructional video you made because "Full stop" fixed my problem! Thank you.

None of this was working but I figured it out. Go into settings. Search for keyboard list and default. Make sure Samsung voice input is off. And turn Legacy off. Google Voice typing is on.

Samsung voice input seems to be the problem. Google works fine if you don't wait too long to speak your punctuation. If you wait an extra second it won't record it but it's better than the Samsung engine spelling them out.

On Samsung voice input it doesn't work. Only Google voice input does punctuations. However, that's for this video as the "full stop" works great on Google voice input. I'm not sure if it's a bug in the Samsung voice input or whether Samsung keyboard just does not support voice input with punctuation.

This same issue comes and goes on my Samsung s10e. Unfortunately the "full stop" fix did not work for me.

This worked on my galaxy a35 but how do i insert a comma or question mark without it inserting the word comma or question mark? It did work fine for adding period to tho. Note my old Lg stylo 5 had no issues inserting a period, question mark or comma. I guess they built a better smart phone

My old Lg stylo had no issues right out of the box in using voice text. When I said period, question mark or comma etc it inserted it perfectly. I guess Lg base a simpler, smarter phone

So I just fixed it. Another commenter had mentioned turning off Samsung engine for the voice to text and using the Google engine. This works although now the microphone goes off really quickly

Can also say Dot. What I want to know is what are all the verbal symbols? The ones I know are ?(say Question Mark) !(say Exclamation Mark) ,(say Comma) .(say Dot) Are there more than 4?

I just watch the video on dictation issue. Mine was the whole punctuation was nor working. I read into the comments , i found a solution , i am going to test now

Say 'Question' 'Mark' as two words. Say 'The Comma'. Comma can be a pain because have to delete the word The.
