I've been keeping my phone on airplane mode all the time when I don't use it for about a year now, and I must say that, among other things, that has vastly helped my mental health. I have no idea about my sperm health, but I'd safely say my T has increased since I adopted this habit. You can feel it. But if you're interested in increasing your T, the first most beneficial thing you should do is get your diet, exercise and supplementation in check. Eat real food as much as possible and avoid processed foods, avoid micro-plastics and heating up plastic, do hard exercise daily, and eat vitamin D, zinc and magnesium. Also sleep 7.5-9h a day. The difference those things did to my mental health is immeasurable. I'm a completely different man now, in a good way.

How much is it like a 16 year old in a room or a car with all that its hitting them . Today's smart phone is nothing like the flip phones in terms of EMF burden. Consider the millions Verizon spent trying to prevent the City of Berkeley California from putting EMF warnings near the display price tag - specs. It would be exactly from the warnings required in the owners manual but more brief and clearly visible at point of sale. Look into all that's done to decimate California's Prop 65 cancer - fetal death weanings, eg, displayed next to TJs chocolate bars with lead and cadmium that two independent publications ranked recently. TJs says they won't sell it if THEY thought it was unsafe bit couldn't cite their own internal data or study justify that. No other state has that kind of Prop 65 warning I think. It should be with that R N A countermeasure shots right? And if they didn't know if those shots caused baby harm like death or cancer than California shouldnt have ever allowed infants or the pregnant to be shot repeatedly especially since the risk benefit cannot justify the injec., right? Should be noted (reviewing the study): (1) Findings were NOT significant: "The decrease in sperm quality after RF-EMW exposure was *not significant*, even when the mobile phone usage increased.", noted in the paper's abstract. (2) This only shows an associative linkage - meaning it's quite reasonable that if you're on your phone a lot, then you're (a) not as physically-active as those NOT on the phone (b) lacking good dietary habits, and/or (c) not getting quality sleep. Anecdotally - I use phones quite a bit... Even have a hereditary-damaged teste, and yet managed to have 2 wonderful kids whose physical and mental capacities test far ahead of their age (>90th percentile). You could do a study and have someone eat 2lbs of tuna in one sitting and they probably wouldn’t have enough mercury in their system to have any “significant” negative effects, but feed them half that every day for a year and see what effect it might have on them. "Not significant" in this context means that the "effect" is probably nothing more than random noise, that shouldn't be taken as evidence. Something that this comment section is unfortunately doing en masse. Like for example if there was a meta analysis showing that prayer has a "non significant" effect on healing cancer patients, it would be absurd for any governing body of medicine to put prayer in the treatment course "just in case". It's important to note that the amount of EMF exposure from Wi-Fi and other sources is generally considered safe by regulatory agencies such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The heat is induced via electromagnetic waves (="radiation"), just like in a microwave. The waves have just the right frequency to make the water atoms jiggle (=heating). The difference is, that a microwave is a closed cavity which leads to standing waves inside, to achieve high enough intensities to heat your food, while the electromagnetic waves from an antenna spread out radially and therefore the intensity goes down pretty quickly with a little distance (Intensity is proportional to 1 over radius squared, so a little bit more distance already has a big impact). Electromagnetic waves are ionizing, when the frequency (and therefore the photon energy) is high enough to rip electrons from their atoms/molecules. This can destroy the DNA in some of your cells and normally our body is able to detect that and repair it or destroy these cells but sometimes this fails and the cells with this alternated DNA can turn into tumors. This can only happen with UV and higher (x-rays, gamma radiation) frequencies, independent of the intensity of the source, hence one should minimize the exposure to these things (sunscreen, not more x-rays than necessary, not too many flights, lead shielding of nuclear power plants,...). I hope I could clarify some things (not only for you, but I am often sad that most people have no clue about electromagnetic waves at all, because it is part of so much in our day to day life 🙂

Okay, as an electrical engineer this is mostly BS, the study he is referring to doesn’t show further decreases in quality when the use of smart phones increase just that there is a possible correlation. The reason this is bull is because the radiation you get from the sun is far greater than anything you get exposed to day to day by many many times over. According to this time spent in the sun should instead cause sterilization which means as we have spent less time outdoors we should have seen increased fertility. Most of the ionizing radiation is filtered in the atmosphere but some of it does get to us on earth and this is what causes cancer like Melanoma. The radiation from smartphones is completely non ionizing however. The more likely cause here are micro plastics or adjacent chemicals affecting hormones and interrupting bodily functions in ways we don’t understand and that many of the problems put fourth in the research is due to exposure to things that highly align with smartphone use like exposures to various chemicals.

This basic assumption about the importance of energy is fundamentally flawed as radio frequency radiation has its own trigger properties on biological organisms that aren't related to neither ionization nor related to thermal effects. Non-themal effects is known for certain. It has in the past been discussed as controversial. It is today beyond any reasonable scientific doubt. Laboratory studies show a clear connection between radiofrequency radiation and oxidative stress, which is a known cause of reduced sperm quality. A high-quality animal study has shown a correlation between radiofrequency radiation and decreased testosterone and sperm count. Recent cohort studies suggest that in humans. These cohort studies may have residual uncertainty, but the overall evidence for an association between reduced sperm count and radiofrequency radiation is rather strong. Probably causal relationship.

Andrew, thanks for many good videos and great public service. I just have one question for you. I had this discussion with a Swedish senior doctor friend of mine a couple of years back and he called it "pseudo science". After seeing this clip I shared it with him telling him that it has now been proven. He went to the study in the show notes and showed me that in the RESULT section it was saying "The decrease in sperm quality after RF-EMW exposure was not significant, even when the mobile phone usage increased". He is now more convinced that it is even less than "pseudo science". If the result of the study says "not significant". Then why should we be worried and take precaution? Need a explanation fit for a bonafide professional and sceptic.
@TheVaged
@TheVaged Жыл бұрын
It has to be able to heat you up and the longer you're exposed the worse off you'll be. It also has to be above certain wavelength thresholds. RF has been used as a weapon for decades. Damage from RF exposure isn't pseudo-science, I don't think your doctor is actually referring to RF exposure as pseudo-science though to be fair. No one would argue RF can't be deadly. No, pressing a phone against your source of reproduction for 12 hours a day while it spits out 5ghz band isn't a good idea no matter how you shake it. Is it clinically significant damage? Well, I don't know man, 90% of adults apparently have smart phones, seems like the corpos might have some pull for defending and improving their product. They've already shaken loose military wavelengths (American) to upgrade their speeds.

This may be of interest to some. I have developed a method to naturally increase the electrical potential of water, which can be measured as an increased voltage. When this "vitalized" water is fed to crops, biomass and nutrient density increase dramatically. Conversely, when water is exposed to any microwave/wireless transmitter (router, cell phone, cell antenna, baby monitor) the water voltage drops dramatically. When this low voltage water is then fed to the same crops they sicken and die, depending on how long the EMF exposure.

Sperm quality refers to the morphology of the sperm cells (Physical deformations of the cells), their motility (Speed) and overall amount of sperm cells present in any given sample. DNA mutations are generally not included in the concept of sperm quality, and are, as far as i know, not tested for in a standard sperm quality test. Low sperm quality is generally associated more with having trouble conceiving than it is to birth defects.

It seems that that's not news; but I think the effects are temporary. So likely the answer is that one would use a sauna for short bursts, once or a few times a week; while the phone may be carried in the front pocket against one's testicles for prolonged periods of time, day in and day out for years, having compounding effect.

I may not be a medical doctor but as a physicist this doesn't sit right with me. I am very curious about how the research was done considering the fact that all of the frequencies that are being commercially used to transmit information through mobile devices, radio, internet, etc. have been deemed harmless. The lengths of microwaves, radio wavesand and everything below are low enough that they shouldn't carry any great amount of energy capable of harming humans. Besides, phones aside, your local grid should also emit quite a lot of very low frequency light and that hasn't ever been cause for concern for such reasons. You have a better shot at setting your house on fire due to a faulty installation compared to your odds of experiencing any form of radiation based health decline caused by constant contact exposure to low frequency light.
