Thanks madam for your nice lecture regarding active transport of plasma membrane. In this vedio at 4.35, you have mentioned that WBC & macrophages are phagocytic cells. Its correct, but for your kind information. Macrophages are also one type of WBC. WBC are two types- 1) Granulocytes -Eg(Neutrophil, Eshomophil & Basophil. 2) Agranulocytes -Eg( Monocytes & Lymphocytes. When Monocytes come to fight against of an offending agent from blood to tissue then they are called macrophages( according to site of tissue though they have different names). Tissue Monocytes are named as macrophages, similarly tissue Neutrophils are named as microphages. So, macrophages are one type of WBC( Agranular type- Monocytes) You have mentioned that WBC & Macrophages are phagocytic cells.

Ma'am i have a confusion, if in pinocytosis there is no exocytosis, how the membrane retains its size? i mean the membrane invaginates and looses its size then how come it retains its size back?

Session summary- Active transport includes- Endocytosis and exocytosis...... Remember - exocytosis is also called ephagy or cell vomiting.
