On Chip’s podacast Mark Normand asked a liquor store employee why they’re considered essential, it’s so people reliant on alcohol don’t get DT’s. Less people in the hospital from severe withdrawal symptoms. Guess that makes sense? But still a little odd.

I usually like Nimesh, but I cannot stand the pseudo-intellectualism; the 21st amendment repealed Prohibition, the 14th is a civil rights amendment from just after the Civil War. It's fine if you don't know that, but don't mention it if that's the case.
