This is an amazing lesson! You address the most key issues about shifting and go into enough detail that it's very clear and useful. Thank you!

As video progressed the sync between sound and visual slipped and became disconcerting - especially when teaching shifting ... things didn't match. But I like very much how thorough you are and how you give student the reasons behind why we do what we do. Thank you.

I have the same posture as you and I have received a lot of criticism because my body is angled when I play. Especially when I do a big shift.

Speaking of stretching, I, like my teacher - the late great Frank Miller can not only stretch a 4th, but I can stretch a fifth...as in on the D string first finger on E natural and fourth finger on B natural (all without moving my hand, only one other cellist I know has that reach, we happen t play in the same symphony together and enjoy showing off passage work where we do not need to shift positions nor cross strings.....we're the exception rather than the rule, mind you....

It was a little difficult watching this because the video and audio weren't synchronized.
