I fell in love with this music after watching a K-drama entitled Do You Like Brahms. I never thought this piece of music can be played so well on a cello, or it could be because the musician Borislav Strulev is a superb cello player. It was so moving that it penetrates to the core of ones being.Thank you for this post.

At a very sad moment in my life, loosing the dearest friend, Gerald to cancer, a superb friend of almost 30 years, the greatest friendship I ever had, a sweet dear friend so kind and compassionate for world peace, human rights, dignity, social and legal justice particularly for the suffering of the Palestinian people who’re victims of appalling israeli apartheid, ethnic cleansing and mass murder in their native homeland of palestine for more than 70 years, this song “Traumerei” by Robert Schumann, was the most affectionate tune I had ever heard and witnessed in seeing Gerald brought being brought to tears when hearing it played recently by the Halle in Nottingham Concert Hall. But in being played on violins and violas alone wasn’t supreme enough on reaching into the hearts of the mainstream audience, it just isn’t simply the same as the beautiful mature sound as played on the cello of Borislav Strulev,, and therefore, that was the view of both Gerald and I. No other musician other than Borislav Strulev plays this tune so beautifully well with real feeling together with the organist too. Wow Borislav you haven’t only made my day you have made my year! Borislav thank you so very much indeed for giving my dear friend Gerald that moment of sheer glory and happiness in hearing you play this tune, a favourite of his during his life. I am indebted to you for this. I cannot afford to come along and see you perform in your beautiful Russia so please come and play this deeply moving tune in Nottingham. I am forever gratefully yours indebtedness. Paul Meaney

This was played in Austwich by Albanian lady dwarf for SS Mengele and it saved her from medical experiments & gas chamber. Mengele kept a band of dwarfs and music saved their lives.

Dear Andi Gx. Yes i i’ve heard about that from my deceased father and it was a Russia Soldier, a true hero and a gentleman who liberated the nazis death camp at Auswitz. Recently i was shocked and disgusted to see the lies of the British and American Government’s who had tried to distort the truth about which brave nation (Russia) had destroyed the nazis. The British and American regimes want us to ‘believe it was they who destroyed the nazis single handily.’ As you will be aware it was Russia, on the Eastern Front, who at a huge cost of over 27 Million Russian lives, destroyed the nazis. If Russia had not taken on the nazis then both you and I would be speaking German today and all our relatives would’ve been murdered by the nazis. I will wear my Russian striped Ribbon with pride. God bless Russia and all who pay homage and utmost of respect to the bravery of Russians Soldiers during WWII. Thank you for kindly telling me about this historical fact. Take care. Paul Meaney Am sure Russia have their own WWII commemoration service in honour of their lost souls. Am decendant of 'white russian' but know little of my history since ancestors killed during Stalin's regime.

For me personally, the vibrato creates some sort of hectic and restlessness (regard his hand). Maybe the sound, the music is calm, but the gesture of the musician itself isn't it.
