I thought that Bernardo, McCowan, Valle & Scales were outstanding today. Really brought a sharpness, and crispness of pass and 'were really up for it'... Idah was so unlucky as he could have had 4 goals instead of just one - two great saves & he hits the bar as well. Really good game to fill the back-up players w/ confidence and some much-needed game time. So, all looking good, w/ no injuries before the big game on Wed. night up @ Pittodrie. Hail! Not having a go at Engles or Hatate, but when comparing who's contributing more to the team at the moment, Bernardo needs to be starting. Valle is the same. Play the in form players.

Engels and Hatate are playing in the bigger games against bigger team, so it's not expected of them to contribute with goals and assists as the difficulty is increased. I'd start Hatate and Bernardo Wednesday and I'd start Engles and McCowan at home to Hibs. Would also like to see McGregor rested Vs Hibs before out huge game Vs Zagreb.

Bernardo is far more assured and calm than Engels. Valle is stronger than Taylor and McGowan is solid and dependable.

It is normal for the team to slow down a bit after making so ma y changes. We were a bit unlucky though as we should have scored another four in the second half. Big Adam smashes the ball of the bar , Valle should have chipped the kedper and their defender knicked the bar with his clearance.

McCowan and Bernardo id start in next champs league game to come v Zagreb . Both are hungry players out to prove themselfs after being dropped recently . You should never go by price of a player as for me McCowan is playing better than Engels and so Engels should be left out for to give McCowan his chance in Europe.. And Hatate left out for Bernardo Them two guys McCowan and Bernardo id rather see play in the next champs league game with the other two left out As for me like in any Sport always play guys on form as they deserve their chance to shine .

--> Nice wrap up. It's always good to hear the CFTV analysis: insightful and honest. --> I think I'd bring Trusty in for CCV Wednesday. It's not his natural position, but he settled in to that spot earlier in the season; and it'd give CCV a rest while allowing Scales to get some deserved match minutes. --> Schmeichel stays in for Aberdeen, but Sinisalo should be put between the posts for the Hibs match next Saturday. It's at Celtic Park, and he needs to get some minutes at our leisure, not when forced to do it because of (heaven forbid) an injury to KS.

Luke McGowan was excellent today. Would love to see him get more minutes. Also, calm it, as soon as this channel contributers start talking about how we don't look like losing you can almost guarantee Celtic will lose the next game. Happened the last couple of long runs we've been on.

From where I was watching, Valle kept giving the ball away. His first touch was shite, and he struggled to link with Maeda. We got five goals in that first half but no thanks to him. Ross County set out their midfield and defence in a much stronger shape in the second half, and we couldn't get through them. Forrest was good but every cross or cutback was hacked clear by Ross County in the second half. McCowan was definitely the best player, always wanting the ball. Hatate was awful. No penetration on passes.

@@den264 Yeah im not Taylors biggest fan especially at european level, but have to call it as i see it and say i wasnt that impressed with Valle and dont think Taylor would have been any worse today. Will be intestesing to see who Rodgers picks for wednesday at left back and in the midfield positions.

They're both not good enough at champions league level but Valle makes things happen going forward Taylor doesn't, or at most very rarely does. That'll be the first place Brendan strengthens/improves in January.

Him and Taylor both last season should never have been playing together..i hope in January more defenders are recruited cause we are still far too lightweight in that department.
