Not anyone's place to tell Rodgers what he should or shouldn't do but I will admit I was surprised he chose this route to get back to the prem. I rate Rodger very highly and in my opinion he's as good or better than Pochettino. Their careers are about the same length and looking at their records, Rodgers has the better career Goal per game average, this despite stops at Reading and Swansea. From a coaching perspective everything Poch is known for, Rodgers does. Attacking football, playing young players, good man management, etc. And to date his Liverpool reign has produce the best results in their Premier League history. I will admit that leaving Celtic this way in mid season does leave me with a bit of a sour taste on Rodgers but that's the way of modern football. Clubs fire managers and Managers leave clubs. The reality is that he wanted back into the prem badly enough that he didn't wait for one of the top 6 jobs. Of those 6 he realistically had a chance of only 3. Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs. He was a youth Coach at Chelsea under Mourinho's first go round and his style would have fit perfectly their. Hudson Odi would have been his Raheem Sterling. The jury is still out on Emery at the Emirate and if the spectre of Real Madrid always hangs over Poch not to mention this public campaign as being the primary choice for the United job. Given all of that the question is, of those 3 jobs it is likely that at least 1 of them would be available within the next 1-3 years. Critics will rail at the quality of the SPL but in his 2 and half years he's literally won everything that league has to offer, multiple times with his first year going undefeated drawing 4 games and winning every other game. No matter the league, that is unbelievably difficult . Unless Leicester is going to provide mad money for him to get a couple of top quality players I don't see where the foxes get into Europe. But he made his choice and Leicester is it and good luck to him.
