What a great gesture from the Celtic team My great-granddad was friends with John Thomson and worked with him down the pits at Bowhill Colliery. The two later moved to Glasgow, and my great-granddad settled in Tollcross. Although, he was a Rangers fan, he would regularly go to see his friend play for Celtic and wish him well. As a Rangers fan, I'd like to apologise for a few of the idiots who have left negative comments. Most of us acknowledge his memory and hope that there's never a repeat.

It's great that Celtic are the kind of club that never forget their players and important figures related to the club, being a Celtic supporter feels like having a degree in a special kind of history :D

Lovely memorial video, and exceptional words from the gaffer as well. RIP John Thompson, YNWA... All those big Puffa jackets and trackie tops and there's Broony wandering up in a t-shirt... Hard as a coffin nail that lad!!! (Pardon the pun)...

Perhaps they should have paid their respects to the memory of Sam English who had to live with the horrific taunts party due to the remarks made by Willie Maley at the inquest where he stated he 'Hoped' it was an accident.Sam was a record scorer for Rangers that still stands today, he never got over the accident and quit the game aged only 28. R.I.P John Thomson and Sam English
