My violin teacher is going to walk down the aisle at her wedding to this. Our class played it for her and she was near tears.. It's such a beautiful song! Very well played, by the way :)

I've listened to several KZbin renditions of this piece and this is the only one that speaks to me of the Irish and their plight. I read the comments and almost laugh at the posts by high school students telling a professional how he should play this. They do this on nearly all subjects, though.

I know this is an old video, but felt the need to say this. Even though this is a reference video, it's probably one of the most beautiful melodies performed on violin. I have been following you for nearly 5 years as a fiddler/violinist, and I have yet to encounter a better rendition of Si Bheag Si Mhor in a slow/air format. Lovely work Retaw! XD

Nice but I think the vibrato spoiled it a bit. It sounds nice in the long notes but anyone playing traditional folk music using vibrato comes off a little bit as some one who has gone into folk with classical techniques.
