This "African " song was written by a guy from Glasgow called Karl Denver

Woops, You almost had me believing that. Might want to look it up there. Originally written in the 1920's by a South African man by the name of Solomon Linda, aka, Solomon Ntsele. Sorry, the claim that it was written by Karl Denver kept nagging at my mind so I had to look it up. It's been recorded by several artist & probably has been changed a bit here & there by some, but is still the same song that was originally written by Linda. Karl Denver did record a version of it in 1961 but he didn't write the song. Another tidbit that I found out while looking up the song is that it was originally called "Mbube".
