Great to see the subs make a big impact. 2 goals will do Idah some good for his confidence. Bernardo for me is getting better every game. Kuhn is unbelievable right now. Yang looking a lot sharper coming on as well. All great stuff.

They think they're preventing us from getting an advantage, but they're only disadvantaging themselves by reducing their potential income. Almost the entire league is like that. Oh well, phuck them! If they want to race to the bottom by diminishing their income while we race to the top---and stay there---then I think our fans losing a section of our away allocation is a small price to pay. It's a win-win situation as far as I'm concerned. We can't change it (for the moment) so all we can do is change the way we feel about it and keep winning regardless.🍀🍀🍀🍀😀

Delighted with the win. One thing that concerns me is the lack of reaction from anyone to the now seemingly permanent dropping of Liam Scales, arguably our most consistent performer last season. What has Scales done so wrong to deserve permanent dropping. I don't think Trusty is any better.

Tight pitch and a hostile atmosphere. 4-1 win is a brilliant result and I fear we’ve become so spoiled over the years we’re expecting to win this fixture comfortably.

We took a wee bit of time to get going but when we did we are lethal. These are the games when you don’t start too well you show your metal when you push yourself right into it. When we move up the gears we are fantastic. Who says keepers shouldn’t get beaten at the near post ? Maybe 60 years ago when balls were a lot heavier but the pace modern balls travel those days are gone.

--> I really, really wanted Forrest to get a goal. With the new contract, this can't be the season to break his streak of scoring at least one goal every season. Maybe Idah should've let Jamesy take the PK. (Just joking ... a bit.) --> Man of the Match 1st Half: Schmeichel (because of the first five minutes) ; Man of the Match 2nd Half: Kuhn. --> I'm Team Bernardo over Engels (even though my wife's Belgian). They don't have a fraction of his potential tho, which is what you pay for when you sign a 20 year old. Everyone wants to sign Miller but there's no point if you drop him for a 28 year old who's only marginally better. You've gotta play him if you want him to get better, look at Kuhn.
@gordo94904 күн бұрын
Great performance but I think Brugge will give us a harder game than Leipzig did, we will need the fans to be right up for it as usual, personally I would drop Engels for Bernardo who is a better player, think we have massively overpaid for the Belgian as I just don’t see the fuss with him, his distribution is bang average and he offers no goal threat or anything else for that matter, I would take £5m for him in January
@user-dj2xy2tm2p4 күн бұрын

I’ll never understand how the club whose player - not coach - was caught as a 21st century sex pest gets away with pretending their truth isn’t out there. Or doesn’t matter. Shame on the wider footballing community, frankly. Their match-day fanbase were worse than usual there. But they’re struggling, so resorting to ideological copium, however pathetic and hypocritical, is regrettably to be expected.

I am worried we have spent £11m on an overrated midfielder because Brendan Rodgers wanted more height and power in the team. Paulo Bernardo was far superior when he came on and is twice the player he was last season. Engels was a non entity in this match, not because he performed poorly but because he doesn't get on the ball enough. Bernardo was everywhere when he came on.
@JohnGordon-y2d4 күн бұрын
Engels is a class player,will come good.
@John-qy9nw4 күн бұрын
@JohnGordon-y2d John, my suggestion is that he is not playing badly or even that he is a bad player but that he not the right skill set that we need in our number 8/10's. He needs to get on the ball more and make basic circulation passes and I would prefer our 8/10's in general play a tad deeper which was what Brendan Rodgers said post Hearts interview as a change he made at half time.
@conor48094 күн бұрын
Engels has played about 10 games with the team. He's still adapting to patterns of play, his teammates and his living situation etc. Think how inconsistent Bernardo was all last season
@John-qy9nw4 күн бұрын
@conor4809 an excellent rebuttal. I hope you are right because I think the only reason we had to pay £11m for this guy is we only started bidding for players in the last week of the window and Augsburg didn't have to sell. This bloody strategy must change. How long can Engels remain in the team at the expense of Bernardo who, himself is twice the player he was last season?
@Pete-ou9kj4 күн бұрын
Bernardo needs to start over Engels, boy is lost. Wish Schmeichel would send it long when we are struggling

Totally. Lost is exactly the word I was thinking as I watched him. Very little from him.
@gaeilge09004 күн бұрын
@@Pete-ou9kj He definitely needs to get far more time, any more mediocre the shirt is Bernardo's. Equally Idah needs more time on the pitch. He's scored 7 goals this season off a handful of minutes.
