Jimmy Thelin is Clement's biggest problem. With a salary budget a fraction of The Rangers, he has managed to overtake them within a few months. If it was just Celtic he could argue finances. Aberdeen have shown that to be no excuse.

The day rangers fans realise they won’t compete with Celtic every season the better. Maybe they will win a title and the odd cup every few seasons but that’s about it. The thing with sevco is, is that they are trying to force it too happen. Spending $ they don't have to gain short term success without preparing for the future. It's not being done organically. Buying a bunch of players that don't care about the club & are just happy getting paid big wages. Sevco are so focused on Celtic, when they should be trying to get their own stuff in order. They can't seem to accept the reality that Celtic are just completely better in every way & they are inferior in every way. The longer they try to deny this, the more painful it will be 4 them. Wake up from your delusions & accept the reality u are simply 3rd best and not better than all the rest. The sooner they do, they might be able to start building again. But it will take quite awhile to get on our level

Rangers havent recovered from winning in 2020-2021. They want all in with their squad and frontloaded spend of money thye didnt have then when they failed to recoup the cost by qualifying for the CL Gerrard left. They have been cycling through managers each season ever since & no-one want the open Board roles with the concomitant (in the eyes of thee support) expectation they will provide 'investment' to the team. It will take years to fix 'the Rangers way' whan ironically Aberdeen are showing a direction Rangers could have taken if they were minded to behave like a smaller club rather than pretending it is still the 90's.
