Music proves its universality in the way it makes us feel. I am Spanish and Flamenco makes me want to cry of passion, Irish music makes my heart dance till my feet can follow, Nordic and North European music makes me feel brave and powerful, African musics make my heart beat to their rythms, Desi music takes me to a world of emotions, East Asian music make me feel impossibly graceful and elegant... There is no music that makes us indifferent. Music is the language of the souls, way more than what any literature can be, and because of it, it can share emotions that could not be shared in any other way. Music is the cleansing of the souls, and the easiest way to tie everyone together emotionally. It is an experience that can be felt alone or as part of something much humanely bigger. Music does not discriminate, and makes us all equals when it joins us in one same feeling at one same time. Music is magic

because effort. the reason i went to look for the live was because i wanted to know if they can manage that level of harmonics without a machine. some people can but the level of harmonics between them is...well...perfect. if it was done without the aid of a machine it would be a sign of incredible talent. the synchronization of the harmonics of the different singers and the band is amazing if unaided, but if a machine is involved it requires a much lower amount of talent, and effort. one of the most important things in art is the effort involved in its creation, it's why the original painting of the mona lisa is more valuable than a digital reproduction. was another painting i had seen some time ago but can't seem to find, renaissance i believe a highly detailed painting of a courtyard and in one of the windows is a guy painting another painting. THAT takes skill, but a photograph of the same scene would not require much skill.
@telesamherring5 жыл бұрын
@@tuseroni6085 Here's a thought, why don't YOU do that choreo and sing it live yourself, ya know, be the change you want and all that shit. Renaissance paintings and stage performances are two very different things and comparing them is like comparing fruits and vegetables. Yea, they're plants (in this case, forms of art), but the flavors are vastly different. You're comparing orignals to mock pieces, something that has no comparison here on a performance piece. Now, this stage as a WHOLE is an art piece and you're about to be like "there's no effort" because you feel they "lip synched". LOOK AT THE WHOLE PERFORMANCE and try to fucking tell me there's a lack of effort again. NEWS FLASH: EVEN BROADWAY STARS LIPSYNCH! *gasp* shocker, i know. Oh and BTW, since you obviously don't know, professionally, for a performance to be considered "live", only 70% of vocals need to actually be live, which, it would seem, was done in this performance. But, right, "effort". 🤔🤔🤔 you should put "effort" into some schooling, or working and make something of yourself instead of bitching about people who already have.

So, I'm confused here. I thought Chloe left Celtic Woman middle of last year but she's on this DVD. Don't get me wrong, I HOPE she comes back soon but I was curious if she just came back to do the DVD?

Stephanie Eisenstaedt This was a recording of the South Bend, Indiana performance in last year's (2013) "Emerald Isle" tour. Chloe didn't leave Celtic Woman until after the tour ended, so she is in this performance. She wasn't in the Christmas concert and is not touring with Celtic Woman right now. There is no indication that she will be back in the lineup anytime soon, although I suppose that could change.

I do love the ladies who are performing now, especially Lisa Lambe(love her!) and Susan, but I DO miss the originals! This is one of my favorite songs.....heck, they are ALL my fav songs! It's also so cool to see the grown up Chloe! She is so beautiful and has finally come out her shyness! And Mariead is amazing as always!

When the violin started to play it reminded me King Arthur's soundtrack. I love the movie because of it. ❤ This song is so good and the performance only makes it even more perfect.

I love being a part of such a colorful and happy people that is the Irish, Gaelic is such a beautiful yet primal language and our music is as you see here the lifeblood of the Irish people and it's easy to see that.

Hmm. You said Gaelic. That gives you away

From Google: "The term “Gaelic”, as a language, applies only to the language of Scotland. If you're not in Ireland, it is permissible to refer to the language as Irish Gaelic to differentiate it from Scottish Gaelic, but when you're in the Emerald Isle, simply refer to the language as either Irish or its native name, Gaeilge." Tl;dr, OP is a dirty liar that is either not Irish or very uneducated

They're Irish and were touring in USA. Trust me, only Ireland could have a group like this.

PBS got a lot of exposure for them here in the US. I took my wife to see them in Louisville 6-7 years ago; they were packing houses back then. We actually got to meet Chloe backstage in Ashland, KY a couple of weeks ago.

Hey, J3N93W, I was there ,too. I was the guy in the blue coat who had meet Chloe in Cincinnati in Dec. Isn't she one of the sweetest people you would ever want to meet? A beautiful and talented Irish lassie, indeed.

She's wonderful, possibly one of the most charming celebrities I've ever met. I had gotten my wife tickets to see her at this Ashland show, and her dad died unexpectedly 2 days before the show. So meeting Chloe was a definite high point in an otherwise terrible week. It's nice that some performers are still accessible to their fans, I know we won't soon forget it.

For me it's a tossup between her and Lisa Lambe. I met Lisa (and her hubby Simon Morgan) in Nashville, TN in Aug. 2015 at a place called The Sutler Saloon. She was promoting her fist solo album since leaving the group the year before. Believe me, she is also sweet and loving and loves to hug people.
