The one 'with' and the one 'without' - Couperin's "No. 3" with and without the infamous "misprint".

Here is Couperin's Prelude No. 3 - from l'Art de toucher le Clavecin with and without the infamous "misprint" - the B-flat that does not correspond with normal sequence treatment - and, what "everyone, with expected musicality" would hasten to correct to a c at the point-in-case.
Well - probably - it is a misprint indeed - it 'ought to be'a c - and that our 'still modern' ears still find the B-flat 'striking' and beautiful, is a 'modern handicap'...
But - it does remind both quite striking - and, quite beautiful in my opinion.

Ok have been learning the piece today and it plays better with the C

Both sound perfectly fine to me. I probably wouldn't have even noticed the difference if you hadn't played both versions, one after the other. So, if Bb is a mistake (and it probably is), it certainly does not offend my ears.

There's most definitely a misprint - the guidon at the end of the previous line sits on c. So either the guidon is a misprint, or the following note. In any case, there's a misprint :)
