When the doctor took off from the starting line, how did he move twice (long and then the turn)? The long can only be used in gear 5 or 6. NEVERMIND: I heard in video#2 the nitro! I have not read that far! 🙂 After watching your videos, I bought the book, dice, and templates. Now I am re-watching them to learn. Thank you.

Yep, it was the nitro. Doc's car type has nitro built in (Dragster iirc?). Glad the videos are helping out, hope you have fun playing!

So the numbers on the templates relate to what gear the car is in?

The numbers on the templates show you which gears the templates are both legal and safest/most hazardous to use on. i.e. the long straight is only legal on gears 5 and 6. It's neither trivial nor hazardous to use in both those gears. The short straight is only legal on gears 1 and 2, with it being trivial on gear 1. The turn template is legal on gears 1-4, trivial on gear 1, and hazardous on gear 4.

What is your opinion of sub machine guns? 5pts for 360 degree 3d6 damage seems to make the more traditional and more restricted weapons obsolete. And, they are not contributing to the model in any way like traditional weapons do. Not sure I appreciate their inclusion in “Refuelled”. I have the same problem with the sludge thrower. Not sure a monster truck can “up and over” another vehicle.

Yea the 3d6 is a LOT tbh and I've only given the pair to Roadrunner to give the token trick driving crew a bit of punch. That said this is a narrative system foremost so tact is to be exercised when it comes to things like this. I appreciate it's easy for me to say as someone running the campaign solo, and regulating minmaxing in person vs person games isn't nearly as simple as just not doing it. It's definitely something to be discussed with each play group as the need arises. I'd be totally fine playing with a group deciding to adjust their points up or ditch em completely. And up and over can totally work on other vehicles, so long as the other vehicle does not also have up and over. As per Refulled, mind you, I think there were a lot of clarifications between versions.
