There's another beautiful dollhouse in a cemetery in Alabama. Her father was building the dollhouse and the child passed away from diphtheria at 4 years old before it was finished so the father finished it at the cemetery and the toddler is in a tomb inside the dollhouse surrounding dedicated by her dolls and you can look inside the glass front door. Both of her parents are buried next to the dollhouse. It was in the early 1900's. Such a beautiful tribute for these young children taken too soon.

What a unique memorial. It makes the memories of the children ever present, and encourages giving. Really nice idea.

It doesn't matter what decade, a child's death is horrible. I'm so glad to see the father really loved his babies. Poor parents, my heart goes out to them.

25 $ for a grave plot was a fortune back then ...I'm pretty sure ,coffee was like 5 cents and gas was 12 cents a gallon ..life was hard and there was no public assistance for the poor , many orphans and fatherless families because of war
@wannaplayagame74843 жыл бұрын
whatadollslife bro it was in the 1800s not the 1900s

The news TV people Should NOT HAVE TOUCHED ANYTHING!!! THAT WAS SACRED BURIAL THINGS!!!!
Please check out Faces of the Forgotten (FOTF) on KZbin and there is one more dollhouse that you can see. The gentleman who owns FOTF travels all over the US (and when the pandemic allows, it will be in a few other parts of the world) and you can really learn a ton from the history he tells you about on his adventures in the nation's cemeteries. Enjoy! Please say H H sent you.

She didn't say the plot was "boughten" did she?
@lisatheboywonder67443 жыл бұрын
I reckon she did
@chevydude6583 жыл бұрын
LOL. Maybe she said "...plot was bought. And...." It just seemed weird for a newscaster to say boughton. But our local newscaster keeps saying "all timers" instead of Alzheimer's.
@maryr78003 жыл бұрын
No, she said "bought and". Go back and watch the video again. I watched it several times to be sure. She actually said" bought and this was only $25 back in the 1800's".

Did she just say $25.00? What a difference in the cost of a place in the dirt!!! I don't understand know, and I probably won't understand it when I'm cremated!! The cost to have things done, when you're deceased is ridiculous!! Things that are, for the most part, free in any other case. You go in the backyard and play in the dirt, you go to the park and play in the dirt, cost...free (taxes not included)!! I also don't understand the cost of air for tires. Breathing in and out..free...cost to put air in your tire .RIDICULOUS!! Ok, I'm done ranting...#RIPBABIES!!

Dear precious one, please repeat after me with your whole heart, "Father God, I'm a sinner and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe in the Good News that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and that You resurrected Him from the dead in order to restore my relationship with You. Through my belief and faith in Jesus death, burial and resurrection, I am saved. I want to trust Jesus as my Savior and follow Him as my Lord from this day forward. Please guide my life and help me do Your will, Your way through the Holy Spirit. This I pray in the powerful, loving and glorious name of Your Son, Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. Amen!" 🙏 Dear friend, may Father God our Creator, through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and The Holy Spirit bless you, lead you, guide you and keep you in His abundantly loving care now and for all eternity!! Amen!!! ❤️🙏
