for the most part, but it still has it's issues. Many older graves are almost impossible to find, they get neglected and end up getting covered up. It really does need some maintenance work. But I give credit to the lawn crew, they work hard and do a pretty good job.

there were no cameras anywhere in the cemetery. Until a double break in at the newer mausoleum near the front entrance in Oct of 2015 (I think), Urns were stolen and oddly later recovered from a mentally challenged young man who said voices told him to take them and care for them. Cameras were installed in that mausoleum afterward. My sons and uncle are there. My uncle is one of the ones who got to do a lil after death traveling. We were very lucky to have him returned. Crack heads often steal urns to sell off for scrap metal to buy more drugs. How sick is that? Cant be good for one's karma I would imagine.

It's terrible that people vandalize the graves like that. I'm in Calif. but my husband's grandparents are actually buried in that cemetery. The reason there's no names is exactly what you said you hoped wasn't the case. The family or whoever bought that spot would have to pay to put the names back. The remains would have been put back in there and then the cemetery put the blank marble back just like they would put the dirt back if someone had dug up a grave. They couldn't be "moved" to a different space because they can only be placed in the space purchased for them. The one exception would be if the family paid to have the remains removed and cremated instead. The office at the cemetery would be able to tell you if they were no longer there if you knew the names. As a genealogist, I've spent a lot of time in cemeteries doing research and it's heartbreaking how many graves are just vandalized "for fun" with no respect for the dead or their loved ones..
