Harbor Freight has picked up the quality standards for sure. I was surprised by the content at this price. ❤

Some seriously decent input protection here for the price. 😊

I REALLY like it! The soft housing will protect it from drops. I dropped my last meter on tile and it garbled the led display. This outer cover also lets you wrap the probe wires around while it holds the coiled wires snuggly.

Thanks for sharing! Definitely a capable multimeter at a great price 👌

I am impressed with the amount of input protection that meter has. I've never seen that in a low end meter before. You usually have to pay a lot more for that kind of thing.

That looks exactly like the Uni-T UT133b rebranded as Cent-Tech. Looks the same on the outside and the inside and the board actually says 133B towards the middle. The UniT runs about $25US and this as Darren said was $19.99 US in the store. Not bad!
@KeepOnTesting6 ай бұрын
Yes indeed Mike..UNI-T is the OEM here..not a bad price as you said! 👍

@@KeepOnTesting, It occurs to me that you never went through the owner's manual to see how comprehensive it is or isn't. Manuals included with Harbor Freight products tend to be pretty minimalistic, but in the case of the HF soldering stations I mentioned in another comment, once I figured out who built them I was able to find the original ATTEN ST-80 owner's manual for the digital soldering station online, and it's more comprehensive and easier to understand than the bare-bones manual that was imcluded. When reviewing inexpensive products like this multimeter, or a soldering station, it's important to note that for many people it might be the first time they've ever used such a product and they may struggle to learn and understand its capabilities. You might want to find the manual for this meter online from the original manufacturer and post the link to it here.

Not a pad little meter for the price, looked like there were isolation slots around the fuses and PTCs as well. Probably okay for home use.

Harbor Freight has certainly upped the game by adding those PTCs and MOVs. The Uni-T version of the meter simply can’t compare in that regard.

Spot on! HF did a great job improving this dmm!

They spent their budget on input protection and got nothing left for REL on resistance, proper backlight (can't think how a timed backlight could be cheaper than not) and the capacitance range. Quite the quality otherwise, their cordless power tools are even competing with the name brands! If they can offer an autoranging meter it would be even better. The winner will enjoy that OWON!

@@KeepOnTestingYou bet. There are reviews on YT too, a particular Torque Test Channel to say. I wish we have Harbor Freight here!

Harbor Freight's soldering stations are pretty good as well. The analog model for $45 USD has temperature sensing feedback and regulation and is surprisingly well built for the price; I posted a review and tear down of it on my channel recently. I also bought their digital unit ($120) and will post a review and tear down of it soon. Both units are made by Atten and use what appear to be knock off versions of the standard Hakko ceramic heater elements, as well as standard 900 M or T18 tips; although the tips that come with the Harbor Freight soldering stations aren't very good and the units will work better if you buy genuine Hakko tips for them. [PS, The owner's manual that comes with the Harbor Freight digital soldering station is pretty minimal ---- this is common for HF products ---- but Atten's website has a more comprehensive owner's manual for the digital ST-80 soldering station, which users will find to be much more helpful because of the programmable nature of the unit].
