Hey guys. Just a quick update. My computer died in the process of creating this video and it took me a long time to get everything set back up again! I needed to get a completely new computer and all of my files on the old computer and my external hard drive got destroyed as well. So sorry about that. There's a lot of examples of doppelgangers in Japanese fiction, a famous short story is "The Red Ogre Who Cried" or "Naita Aka Oni" (it's possible that Metal Gear Solid V, codenamed "Project Ogre," is inspired by the story)
@Lugbzurg5 жыл бұрын
@@gc3k You can see that kind of influence in things like Devil May Cry, with Dante and Virgil, or Re:Zero, where they do it completely literally, with Rem and Ram. Sonic the Hedgehog, on the other hand, did it in reverse, as the tradition is for the red one to be all high-strung and out-of-control, while the blue one is the composed one. I should also point out that ogres and oni are *nothing* alike. Referring to an oni as an "ogre" makes about as much sense as calling them a dolphin.

Just because they make games and publish doesn't mean they can't their competitors, Sony Music can do things with Nintendo but it doesn't mean it's Sony Interactive Entertainment that is involved. Sure we may have companies that have regional divisions but Activision might not have a Japanese Division or Sega is their likely option for publishing in that region that was willing to take it on. That would be great but sadly I feel that's only if it came from Japan first due to how they know English fans will care about the 'original voices/original way it was present' similar to how it's no different in anime DVD/Blu-Ray releases which wouldn't be the case here. The closest you'd get besides that mindset (not much of a point to make I know but it's a thought more than a point) if you had the European version where they put all the languages/voice audio on the disk instead of a separate version for each country type situation otherwise I don't think they do it that way. Still I think it would be interesting to experience it that way.
