Or maybe a realistic penguin squawking in joy? New players would not get the placeholder lines, so they probably wouldn't use Penguin Yay 1. And if they do, it would end up patched anyway. Penguin Yay 1 was very jarring in the original game anyway and just shows how incomplete the character is. The remake should actually finish up the character. Maybe even give us a way to unlock him without the cheat code. And I hope we can play as Oxide too. And maybe give us some new Crash characters for DLC like Koala Kong or Brio or even Crunch or Nina.

There is no political nuance intended and associated with the acronym CTR within the Church and from the Leaders. I believe that is the official stance of the Church. It sounds kinda cult-y out of context, but it’s like a visual aid for kids who have a very short attention span and learning capacity during primary school and not some object to worship or force members to buy (that’s more cult-y). Acronyms sometimes include or exclude definite articles (the word “the”) or conjunctions in English. English is weird like that. Religion can be complicated with many facets and axises of thoughts and feelings so I don’t blame you for feeling that way. I feel that the doctrine and principles of the church answers questions of the soul such as, “why are we here?” (- Red vs Blue, Rooster Teeth), where do I go after I die?, and other questions. Science is good (I love it) but people don’t realize that it is also faith based (see commentary and analysis on C.S. Lewis’s the Magician’s Nephew). Empirical methodologies have given us a lot, but they may not give the whole picture and framework of how things are. I feel that there is truth in both religious and secular perspectives and freedom of religion let’s us express our beliefs, wherever they may be based, freely. Sorry if that was an overkill explanation but maybe that helped explain and clarified things better. Thanks for being a good sport (joshing) about it. 👍

As a kid and only child at the time this game came out, I never really knew how big the crash series was. I played the trilogy but I mainly played CTR. It was my favorite game and I spent hours just playing the adventure mode over and over again. Now that I’m an adult I’m so thankful my favorite childhood game got a remaster. It has met and exceeded all expectations. I live this damn game so much!!!

"Naughty Dog" and "quality" became synonymous with me as a kid, so I took for granted that this would obviously be as good as their other games. It's only now am I realizing how much it revolutionized things. If I'm correct, a pretty dedicated competitive scene formed around the game and kept it alive well into the 2010s. Edit: Watching this video again, the player in the captured footage using Penta Penguin performs poorly. This isn't necessarily due to their skill (though practice helps). Penta Penguin's stats are maxed out on certain versions and it makes the character very difficult to control. Some turbos are so strong, they have to be taken with brakes or at strange angles to avoid overshooting the course. Thank you, did you know. This is truly my favorite kart racer and favorite title on the ps1. CTR was the only game I ever convinced my mother to play with me. She played Penta Penguin (naturally) and loved Sewer Speedway. Thanks for reminding me of such happy memories. Miss you, mom.

Man, my nostalgia overwhelmed me when he brought up the Pizza Hut demo tie-in. I remember it like it was yesterday, I was 5 yrs old and I was watching tv when the commecial came. I asked my mom if we could get pizza so I could try that really cool go-kart game. We got pizza the next day and I played the hell out of that demo on my brothers Playstation haha. oh the memories, I spent an ungodly amount of time trying to unclock oxide with limited access of internet back then. All I know is I have to beat him in every time trial, never completed those. I really disappointed when I get to know that he is an unplayable characters all along btw my favorite racer is Ripper Roo. Now that the first 3 crash games and crash team racing is remastered. I wonder if they will work on a new crash game? It would be cool to have later characters come in like Nina and Crush; but with a new story and levels inspired but their previous work on the remasters. Think of it as a crash 4 but with later introduced characters appearing in a new Crash trilogy design. After all the series ended for years after Twinsanity. *elephant walks in* Nope no other games were made, crash never even got a redesign. *elephant moves closer* Yep it ended at twinsanity.

It's rumored that Vicarious Visions isn't in charge of the CTR remaster because they're actually working on something else with Crash. Most say it's gonna be a brand new game (which I hope for) but I've heard some saying it could possibly be a Twinsanity remaster. The latter idea I like, if only for the chance of getting back the loads of content that was cut from the original game.

@@driftnick7022 Yeah, Nitro Fueled is being developed by Beenox. If we WERE to get 2 more games, I'd be perfectly fine with a entirely new game & a Twinsanity remake. I don't see remasters/remakes of other games happenin' tho, there's not any REAL generated hype for 'em, whereas Twinsanity has a VERY well known truckload of cut content.

I remember when I first heard that it was called "CTR" I thought "What? Like Choose The Right?" when I clicked the video I wondered if they were going to mention that the phrase was linked to that, and sure enough...Gotta love it. It kind of reminds me of how as both a gamer and a war buff, RPG means both "Role Playing Game" and "Rocket Propelled Grenade." While I do not want to be too preachy or to start a flame war, It should be noted that the Church prefers the term "Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" over "Mormons." I know it's a mouthful, and I still use the term Mormon myself from time to time. However, we want to emphasize the "Jesus Christ" part of the name. But that's enough of that. I hope everyone who takes the time to read this has a wonderful day.

How to piss off a Playstation fanboy: Sony has next to no worthwhile games that aren't coming to PC, Switch or XBox, and anything they do have is either void of color, is dark for the sake of being dark, doesn't have the charm of the older games in it's series, is a licensed game, or is an old series that hasn't seen the light of day in 20 years, aside from a remake on the PSP. Now shut up, and let people enjoy what they want instead of being an asshole. (Medievil looks like it'll be a good remake though~)

I was avid Crash Bandicoot fan as a child and owned every single game. Crash Team Racing was definitely my favorite Crash game after Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped

I mean, if you think about it, that’s parents in general when they’re shopping for video games for their kids; it just so happens that this is in a religious reasoning context. I remember watching a meme Simpsons clip where Marge bought Bart the FPS video game he wanted but it wasn’t the FPS video game he wanted. Marge only reasoned that it was a shooter game she was looking for and didn’t really think past that, which I think parallels this factoid.
